I don’t need the skinny trim piece as well right? When you search the part number on eBay that comes up as well. It’s the shorter and fatter black piece with the fastener in it?

Or do I need that piece as well so I would need to get 4 pieces total?

I'm confused by what you mean. Each part number I gave you leads to only one piece. Here's the left piece:

This piece also comes up when you search, and one of these is pictured on the other site as well in the kit.

So do I only need the part you just linked for the left and right or do I need both of these other pieces as well

They're the same thing. There's no such thing as multiple pieces sharing a part number, that would just be counter intuitive.

It's just a different angle is all. You need the left and right piece, and that's it.

From an insurance perspective, I would be hesitant to run these in the US unless they are DOT approved...which it sounds like they may not be (especially the replicas). Really like the look though. Is there a DIY on this install/coding?

You may be splitting hairs with the "DOT Approved" issue. I've worked as an insurance adjuster for years and when we came out to inspect cars after accidents we never once look for the little tiny "DOT" approval logo. The only thing that we validate is if the lights are there and are not obstructed or malfunctioned(ie blown bulbs or missing all together). I will say, if you live in a state that requires annual inspections you may fail since these lights do not have side reflectors. US regulations require side reflectors on the front most (amber) and rearmost(red) reflectors.

"Reject vehicle if there is not a red reflector mounted on each side of the vehicle as far as practical to the rear, and an amber reflector mounted on each side of the vehicle as far as practical to the front."

Looks like VLAND-usa doesn't have the red ones in stock or else these look great. It's hard to find red ones and the dynamic indicator looks nice.

Of course they are careful NOT to show the side mirror signals in the video.

The video in this thread shows the side mirror signals for a large part of it, but it does seem out of sync.

The OEM ones are $491 USD with 15% off coupon on eBay. Why not pay a little extra and get flawless performance out of it? The headaches aren't worth it, especially when these lights help others see what you're doing in your car. The possibility of getting into an accident isn't worth saving $100.

^ Exactly.... get OEM if you can. The quality is far superior. I installed a set of aftermarket lights on someone else's car and the quality shows. The wiring was completely messed up too!

Looks perfect on GSM. How about in use? Are the sequential signal lights? I have BSM and can't make up my mind on red or shadowline. You have link?
