2018-3 maps now available

Anyone else struggle with the download? I was trying to download the last set and it frequently keeping stalling ( pressing pause and then continue was the only way to get it work ) and I got to downloading 30gig ( out of 24.. ). before I gave up!!!!

My car is meant to have over air update but is stuck on EUROPE EVO 2017-1. How do I get to that bmw download manager and do it myself over usb?

I've just looked at download manager and it's saying 2018-2 is the latest. Guess I will wait a bit longer.

Login/register to ConnectedDrive:

Then click ‘remote cockpit’ ‘control’ ‘map update’ ‘manual map update’ then download the windows or mac version.

BTW you will need a 64gb usb stick to download the map to.

I wonder why the car isnt using the auto update thing, as i said my maps are quite out of date now...

The OTA updates stopped working a year or so ago for some reason.

Going to download a newer version of maps for my car.
I currently have 2016-1 installed.
My download manager says I can currently get 2018-1.

My Q is, is it worth waiting on 2018-2 or is there little difference between the two and I might as well go for 2018-1 now.

I assume you have the Premium maps. Some people have reported juddery responses on the 2018-1, fixed by 2018-2.

However, I can still only see 2018-1 as well on my DL manager so can't say for certain.

Mine eventually did an OTA update to 2018-2 yesterday..........

Mine did an OTA a while back to 2018-1.

Tempted to just dl the 2018-3 via alternative sourced😂

OTA updates only do the UK map though doesn’t it? If you do the USB update from Connected Drive website you get the full European update.

USB Manual Update is still showing 2018-2 for me.

Any ideas on when the European 2018-3 version will be roughly available?

1. The USB Map Update I’m finding is £69.95?
2. If I download this and update the maps on the car via a USB stick will this make the missing RTTI roads reappear? Currently, some roads, including the North Circular, are missing the RTTI.
