Bimmercode and 1-8 shortcut keys questions.

I used Bimmercode and Bimmerlink for the first time last week. It went smoothly, was able to code just about everything I wanted and a few more things I wasn't planning. One thing though, now my 1-8 shortcut keys won't seem to program a radio station or satellite station like I had before. I try to re program them but it just stores generic channel list and whatever the last station i had on. Its weird and annoying, anyone come across this before? If so, how to fix? I have a 2016 340 if that matters. Thank you

You have to to go to the media menu from the main menu first then you should be able to save a radio station.

Thanks, tried that unfortunately won't program radio or satellite stations that way either. Still just does channel lists

Same problem here. 340 2016 NBT ID4. I'll try to update the CAFD or ECU with E-Sys this week-end

Thanks, I haven't got into E-sys yet but would be curious if you figure it out. Its weird on mine because none of the presets cleared with the idrive reset, just the 1-8 hot keys changed behavior

That's really weird. Tweaking settings in simple mode in Bimmercode is usually pretty safe unless settings were tweaked in expert mode and something went wrong. Bimmercode saves backups of each ECU when you make changes, have you tried restoring the backup for HU_NBT? You'll lose your coding for that module but may be worth a shot.

I haven't restored yet but plan to if I can't figure it out soon, thanks

Has anyone tried to reset by holding down key 1 and 8 for about 10 seconds and program again.

Humm ill see if i can get hold of my mate on Monday, he works for bmw, deals mostly with electrical.

If coded in normal mode not Expert nothing should of happened really but again when reading disclaimer you code at own risk. Only option for me at this stage would be reverting some of the settings on bimmercode one by one see what might of triggered that error or update your iDrive software https://www.bmw.com/en/footer/software-updates.html

Thank you, i went to that site and there was an update for my car so I downloaded and installed it. It unfortunately did not help my issue.

In addition to trying to update the idrive software from BMW's website, I hooked Bimmercode back up and did a restore of HU_NBT_EVO, FEM_01, REM_01 & KOMBI LT-MID modules but the issue still persists .... it still won't program radio or satellite stations? To be continued....

Very strange, seems like you might have to take it to BMW to look at it.
