Installed xHP, did precisely 100.0 km of normal driving, then tested both Stage 2 and Stage 3 with more spirited driving.

Was surprised how even after so much reading and so many reviews watched, the expectations still turn out to be off.
First impression - good!

Where do I get these Rims?

I have 440i xDrive GC. Changed out the Grille, and will be doing chrome delete when we get warmer weather. Put on a CF high top spoiler (that is beast) and man, those rims would look great . . . Which is a compliment cause they look awesome on yours!

Very pleased with how it turned out overall.

Photos were taken at the same spot, included stock photos for comparison.
The car is black sapphire metallic, sorry for the bad quality.

Thanks! they actually came with the car when I purchased it and they look great!

They are the 20'' M Performance style 624 M Bicolour (Black matt/milled), forged

https://www.bmw.ca/en/topics/offers-...d)-forged.html

You might see a few of these in 19'' inch but those are meant for the 2-series.

When I test drove the car initially it had the Pireli RTFs BMW spec and didnt rub at all, but they changed the tires to brand new Michelin pilot sport A/S and I rub in reverse with the wheel turned, the RFTs were too harsh but noticeably harsher.

Awesome! I took a look at the ones sold here in USA and I see it's a kit. They come as a set of 4 equipped with Run Flats (ehhh. But not the end of the world) for $3,200 shipped to dealer.

Man, I like those rims though haha. and they would really bring that look together for me. Especially doing the chrome delete.

I had originally set my heart on MPPSK first and then rims the following year. However, I am not feeling so sold on MPPSK as much as I had been, previously. I dunno . . I keep watching vids on YouTube of the pop and bangs from MPPSK . . and it sounds just like my 440i out in the parking lot haha. I make those noises in sport mode and I know it's probably just that the video does not do it justice - BUT . there is another post where others are kinda let down over the loudness of MPPSK. And that's what I was getting it for. Not the HP. The bangs and pops and head turning lol. But - from the many vids and some members reporting being let down - I am not sure I want to invest almost $5k for a pooh.

That means . . these rims might be on the table in the spring

But coming from an E90 N54 with the stock exhaust, my N55 equipped with mppk and mpe is good enough for me!

For wheels the only other setup I'd consider would be the 437M wheels off an M3/M4 but will probably go for the 405M once I do LCI tail-lights, i think the curvy design of the wheels will match the curvy LCI taillights, since you already have an LCI you could pull off the 405M nicely. For Pre-LCI taillights i'd stick with the 624M for the "cut/line" design which matches the prelci taillights too, i think both are cool combos

I prefer OEM+ for styling & reliability

I am with you on OEM. All the way. That's why I was on the path for MPPSK rather than BM3. Certainly BM3 has a huge place in the BMW culture. But I am move of a step carefully and well thought out kinda guy. And my own mind says: Would I want to buy a BM3 Tuned BMW ? Probably not lol. And therefore, I may decide to do BM3 if I still have her in another 6 years lol.

I actually REALLY like the 624's. REALLY. I have already bookmarked it on my browser and will make that move in the spring.

Quick question: What does one usually do with stock rims? I mean, I live in an apartment. I have no way to store them. I would hold them for sure, if I could - but I have no place.

I've been going back and forth on doing this on my 328i. I know it won't be the same parts but what brands did you end up going with for both the FMIC and downpipe?

If you're worried about resale then you're doing it wrong.

You can rent a small storage unit or ask a trusted friend that has space. I store my old car parts at my moms

Could always sell them. Help offset the cost of the new set. And if you're replacing with another set of BMW OEM wheels, it won't hurt you on resale. Just a thought.

Hey I wonder if anyone knows what this noise is. Happens when the engine is cold then. Sounds like some rattle with the rpm.

There is a wide range and prices for both of these items. The FMIC was a gift so I didn't really get to choose. It's Active Autowerke which is a reputable brand so I rolled with it. It's a little bigger than stock but not much so install was pretty easy. I was shocked at how heavy it is. I did a couple logs and it seems way better than stock but it's really cold in VA right now so I don't have an apples to apples comparison yet.

For the down pipe I got CTS Turbo even though I read quite a few negative reviews. I have their intake and I'm very happy with it. I decided I wasn't paying 4 figures for a downpipe. Considered going catless but I didn't want to smell it with the top down. So that narrowed my options down.

Use the search function and make the right decision for you. Mike at XPH is helpful too.

Why don't you reach out to someone who already has the MPPSK installed local to you so you can hear it in person? Trust me, videos won't do it justice. The MPPSK has plenty of pops, bangs, burbles and all of that.

Too early to really say. But not disappointed so far, no. Positively surprised, rather. I was afraid it was going to be too big of a change and too aggressive.

F036 Brake & Slotted Rotor upgrade

StopTech high carbon slotted rotors front & back with Hawk 5.0 pads, ECS brake lines, and a flush.
Good upgrade. You can stand on the brakes, and they don't fade. Still, I ponder the M-Sport brake upgrade. I am happy with the cost to benefit from this upgrade, but the larger brakes are so Cool.
