Received this code on a 2017 BMW 330i GT X-drive with 50,000 miles on it.
After reading all the forums and investigating, ATC35L
changed wheel speed sensors,
swapped out the VTG control box, coded,
changed the Transfer case oil, best I could with a plunger type drain tube,
went through the steps of pairing the control box with the case, calibrating the
case.
Code went away for a few days then returned.
I did put new tires on this year as well, OEM sizes square setup.

I find no grinding, no hesitation, shifts into all gears perfectly F, N, R. I took the car on a long 1000-mile trip, no problems. Car drives great to me. I'm assuming I basically have a X-delete happening where it is only rear wheel drive now.
Forums are saying to check the Output drive shaft, and the Guibo. From 2017 the Guibo should already be upgraded to the rubber one to help with vibrations.

I find new transfer cases clones for $550 on eBay, so the ATC35l must be trash, or the engineering of the flange to the shaft won't allow for calibration and the case is fine?

With this code, has anyone found a solution other than replacing the Transfer case? I would have to buy a new one as a used will just fail soon anyway, Loctite on the shaft splines looks to help as well. Thanks.
