Plus like I said, the main purpose of going with a wider wheel for me is fitting more tire. If I was sticking with stock widths then I wouldn't even bother. This is a 225 on an 8.5 https://tyrestretch.com/8.5-225-40-R...xen-NFera-SU1/ |

Thank you good sir. Was trying to be like you.
Tell me about it. He lives in VA and the cops out there have serious hard ons for modified cars. I understand the raising it part, but the Mexiflush shit... In no particular order Nissan 370z, E92 335is or 640i coupe (I'm not messing with the N63 in the 650i). MAYBE an F80 M3 if I get this second job I'm shooting for. Defeats the purpose of selling a 4 door to get another 4 door... BUT it's an M3. Whatever I do choose won't be purchased until about a year or so for now. |

Had to get this pic again with the new wheels. Show me a tree, and I'll show you an attempt to take an artsy photo.

Any other tips besides rolling/pulling the fronts to get rid of specific rubbing situations? I only rub when turning to the left, and it's only the front driver's wheel. Did a roll/minor pull and it eliminated rubbing on the front right but the left still rubs even on some big bumps.
I've heard of people removing/trimming a screw, or at a screw location. Where is it? At the front where the bumper meets the fender? Any other common tricks? It's annoying because that's actually the side with more camber/less caster, so I assumed it would have the most clearance. |

I knew 245 on et30 would be close and my measurements indicated it would be right at the fender lip, so that's why after a roll/minor pull i'm lost on this one. If it's the height then i'll deal with it, but I feel like that's not it since the right side doesn't rub. I'm halfway hoping I look under there and see something obvious like a hanging piece of plastic or something. But I could have sworn I saw a common fender mod on here. I know on my old car there was a "fender-screw mod" where you removed a redundant screw and tucked the fender liner a certain way to get more room. I'll just get under the car tonight and take some pics to see if i can figure it out. |

Figured it out. One of my swaybar endlinks snapped, so I'm guessing that's causing each side to flex differently under load. Currently looking for some stronger adjustable ones unless there's an OEM upgrade?
Edit: My car had base msport suspension and my KW coilovers are for cars with EDC. After some digging I found that they have a different end link on the front right, so I'm going to swap for an EDC end link and that should fix it for good.

OEM 225 on the 8 is litteraly poking, almost looking like balloon tires. But hey like I said, each to his own! If you would have wanted a 245 you should have gone with 9 inch at least... This is actually 225/40 on a 8.5 - totally even. (Continental, same brand as you have right now. Not the narrow Nexens ) |

If you lay a piece of wood across the wheel and the sidewal moves away from it as it goes to the tread, it's not square. Just lay the stock wheel flat on the ground and you can hear/feel the wheel hit before the tire. I've gotten enough road rash/curbs/rock chips/etc. from running stretched wheels in the past. So yea, I have tried it. Just not my cup of tea. |
