Gas mileage on your 335xi

Hi guys, just want to know what you are averaging in your 335. I am driving very moderately, and I'm averaging 13L/100.

In my GT, it seems to hover in the mid teens (MPG, not L/100) if I drive in Comfort mode. I.e. it's bad enough that my "ultimate driving machine" spends the vast majority of its miles in ECO PRO mode, swaying gently down the highway like a Caprice Classic.

I have PPK and 19s and my lifetime average has been about 22mpg. I have 4000 miles on it and the first 2000 miles I was probably around 23mpg. It's fallen since because I have been abusing it. Driving in sport+ DS on with enthusiasm on the highway and when on local roads I am still in the sport+ DS on. On local roads I normally have my windows down and shift manually to listen out for the exhaust. I shift down to 1st, give it some gas, shift to 2nd around 25mph to get that loud burble sound and if the speed limit allows I can shift to 3 at about 50mph. If you leave it in 2nd or 3rd you get this nice harmonious melody between the N55 and the exhausts pops as you go in and out of the accelerator.

If I were less enthusiastic in the f30 I should be seeing +24mpg in mixed driving

I have PPK and about 1300 miles of a mix of 80/20 Comfort/Sport @ 23.5 MPG. I don't abuse it like 300hp but do get on it every chance I get.

I have a four month old 335i Xdrive and have properly broken it in according to the manual. Before the break in period, it got awful mileage but it didn't bother me as I knew it was only temporary. I once drove it from my town to niagra on the lake (distance of almost 300km) and back and it gave me 8L/100km in combination of Eco pro and comfort. According to the gauge I could have driven the car for 900km on a full tank of gas driving the same style which is great for a car with so much power. Now most of my trips are city driving and short and I must say it's not great in the city no matter how much Eco pro or comfort mode you use. In the exclusively city driving, I'm lucky if I get 12L/100 km. beginning to think this car is made for hwy driving and is not very happy in the city.

I must also say, I did not buy this car to save on gas, otherwise would have gone for the 328, like most. Bought it strictly for the sweet sound of the straight six which puts a smile on my face every time.

Very true! I did buy the 335 for it's power and sweet sound.

2013 335i X-Drive M-Sport with 8AT - I track my fuel economy with Fuelly and calculate the 'proper' way, not with the idrive readout.

42 fuel ups over 24,000km (15,000 miles), average consumption is 9.1L/100km (25.8 US MPG). Best tank yet was 30.5 US MPG and worst ever was 21.7.

I never use Eco mode; it's 75% comfort with 25% sport+.

26 MPG average over 15,000 miles is fantastic in my book, and far exceeds the expectations I had when purchasing the car. The new N55 and 8-speed ZF transmission are incredibly efficient, I am very pleased.

I just use the idrive trip computer. It tells me that I get around 30 MPG average every time I commute to work.

Is your commute 99% hwy and 1% city in eco pro mode?

2013 335i xDrive M-Sport 8-sp A/T. Averaging 24.7 MGP over the life of the car at 33,000 miles. Calculations based on acutal fuel consumption and milage. It seems to average about 23/24 mpg in city and about 30 mpg on highway.

Maybe about 60 percent hwy - comfort mode, 30 percent winding roads - sport (every now and then) of course I get less mileage, and 10 percent city - comfort. If I use all comfort, I usually achieve 30 MPG Average

I have PPK and MPE. I get 30mpg when going on highway at moderate speeds.

Between around town and highway driving "spirited" I get between 19mpg and 25mpg.

True mixed moderate driving is about 23mpg for me.

FYI in my experience, the computer is accurate within 5% but always on the optimistic side.

i.e. if I do 35 mpg on the display, I'll calculate about 33.5-34 at the pump. I always track via Fuelly, noting the BC measurement and resetting it along with the trip odometer.

This may differ between 28i and 35i, but probably not.

I have the mppk and drive at 5k feet elevation in the rush hour lurch 22mpg is what I've settled on over many months. I can get up to 28mpg if I drive efficiently on an open highway though.

My car is my office so my mileage is brought down at times from using the climate control while idling during extended phone calls. Considering my driving style, I am very satisfied with the fuel economy.

I get about 18-19 mpg on average. (Same as 13L/100km)

If I'm on the highway, I usually average about 35-37 mpg (6.5L/100km)

If I'm in Sport and feeling sporty: Like -1 mpg.

lol I looked it up and had the same shock. The charts are great at-a-glance, but I'm fine with Fuelly and its gastracker app.
