Do you guys know any shop that can install a catless downpipe? I'm located by usc, in downtown la.. planning on doing it this Saturday

it takes about 2 hours for install. so 250 sounds about right when you factor $90-120/hr depending on the shop.
Plus its illegal so be happy that they actually willing to do the service.

It does not take 2 hours to install a downpipe on a 435i. More like 1 hour or less, if the technician is competent. It shouldn't cost more than $150 for installation.

I did my downpipe in a hour (: I'm not a mechanic and have no knowledge but thank god for YouTube videos

Funny I did just mine today. Took me 2-3 hours. YouTube videos helped a lot.
Few tips: You'll need to drop the muffler and grab a bottle of wd40 as well. The band at the turbo side is a pita to take out and put back but patience, some beer, and you'll get it done. Once you get the stock out, it's easy from there. Grab a friend to help. |
