Problem tuning BM3

hello,
I just purchased bm3 for my 435i and was really excited to tune. however, my OBD agent cant seem to connect to my car. I have a Mac so I have no ethernet cable. I purchased a thunder (apples unnecessarily selective port) to USB adapter and then a USB to OBD adapter. Will this work? or do I need to get a ethernet cable?

I think you'll need the OBD to Ethernet cable and then the thunderbolt to Ethernet adapter. It's probably not recognizing USB or you don't have the latest OBD agent.

I'd hope you'd be able to make that work!

No problem!

I used this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07D8RHBNB?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_pd_title

Also if for whatever reason your adapter doesnít work, I can verify this one works with a 2018 macbook pro

(This adapter is for USB C and thunderbolt 3 so if you have an older mac youíll need a standard USB to ethernet cable)

I did mine on a 2015 MacBook Pro. USB to Ethernet adapter then that to the ODB enet cable. Only issue I ran into was my spotty wireless in the driveway. Had to predownload the map
