HELP! Curbed my bumper :(

I was backing out of a driveway and was not aware of the high curb. The attached images are the result as to what happened. It is the passenger side front bumper on the bottom area. Any idea how I can fix this myself or at least make it look better?

Google 'mobile bumper repair' in your area. The dealer wanted to replace the whole thing when I hit mine charging me 1100 -__- called bumper repair and they charged 210.

as a quick cheap repair i did some very light sanding then polish on mine when i ran over a stray truck tire fragment that scuffed the shit out of my front bumper on one side.
it still looked kind of nasty from the whitish marks so i used touch up paint then repolish and it is not obvious anymore unless im within about 3 feet away.

Looks like it scratched off some plastic - same thing happened to my front fascia. A friend helped me fix it up with the following steps:

1. Wet Sand
2. Apply putty
3. Wet Sand
4. Apply paint primer
5. Sand if necessary
6. Paint
7. Clear Coat
8. Polishing compound

I bought my paint from http://www.automotivetouchup.com/ the paint matches perfectly. I bought about $50 of paint and clear coat (as well as a touchup bottle).

It helps a lot if you get a friend to help you who's done it before. There's certain techniques for wet sanding, painting, and clear coating to help get a seamless transition. Maybe youtube could help as well.
