You say you read the thread but still ask for help? There is no solution to the noise but to use plain face rotors. All dimpled or slotted rotors will suffer from this noise.

I am planning a brake job in the spring/summer 2021 on my 2017 440ix and was seriously considering the M Performance Brake Retrofit w/ red calipers until I read these posts about noise. I have the M Sports package (P337A) on my car with the gray colored calipers. My F32 is my daily driver and I do not track. When I replace my brakes I would like to upgrade the calipers to the blue or red M performance caliper. Based on this thread I am thinking of not going with cross-drilled or dimpled rotors but plain or slotted. If I forego the M Performance Brake Kit, what components would you recommend I consider in its place?

I am also planning on upgrading to M Performance Brake retrofit w/ red calipers...this thread has added another perspective.

Thought I would share this BMW link about the M Performance Brakes I found.

...they maybe noisy and annoying...but I admit...they look so sweet compared to the base brakes with the 1 piston rear caliper...which I have.

Good video; nice to be aware before retrofitting. Thanks for sharing.

I replaced the pads + discs on M135i 2 weeks ago and this noise has been driving me crazy!!

Iíve had the wheels off to inspect brakes about 3 times since including applying more grease and replacing brake clips/pins

Itís difficult to even explain the type of noise it is!
I was telling my mechanic its like a chittering/chattering sound lol!

When I apply the brakes from 65kmph it chitters and if I apply at higher speeds its chitters a lot!

Glad I found this thread and specifically your video as I was going insane!

I had the same issue with the slotted dimpled rotors, here's a video to demonstrate the noise. I thought I did something wrong but glad I found this forum.

It's noticeable by just turning the wheels, but it gets louder in higher speed.

The car is a 2013 335i msport with upgraded M performance brakes and there's a faint fluttering/ticking noise that comes from the drivers front wheel well. The noise can only be heard with the windows down and starts around 25 mph and is really loud when driven next to large road dividers and walls.

I tried to search for similar problems or solutions to no avail. Any help or suggestions would be gladly appreciated.
Mine don't make any sound. However on Porsches it is said to be not a problem.

Can confirm I got the M Performance brake it with the dimpled rotors and it sounds like crickets in heat.
