PSA,

Updated my ID4 to ID6lite via easybimmercoder, and the MMI still works perfectly. So best of both worlds. Native Carplay and MMI for Android.

Can you connect to the car's stock USB for wired CarPlay after you got the ID6 coding? Thanks.

has the bluetooth echo issue been resolved while on calls (believe this happens for Logic7 install-based systems)? i saw some previous posts indicating they made (andream) firmware improvements to mitigate this. i saw another post indicating that using OEM BT would improve calls.

Pretty much yes. They've figured out how to hand over voice calls to the OEM BT system, which uses the OEM mic.

Yep, loud and clear. Maybe the data connection is slow?

It doesn't work for me. I connect it to iphone hot spot and to home wifi network.

Strange, I tested with an Android phone with hotspot on and it works, movie and sound was good, I'll try later with an Iphone.

I received my Andream screen from ewaying today along with a reverse camera. There was no instructions provided in the box. Does anyone have fitting instructions I could use for installation. The screen seems to be straightforward. But the camera wiring isn't obvious. Provided in the box is a small black box with +and - on it and written Chinese. And it's got red and black wires either end. The camera/handle has a red and yellow plugs and some tiny white wire sitting out of a mold.
Any help would be appreciated

Maybe this wil help? The MMI box has marked plug/+12V wire for rear and front cams. With the long 6 meter cable it will fit most cars. Btw. I check the cam indoor plugged to an old television set and a 12V supply. There's a separate red power wire in the long cable.

You mean a little 'box' with wires? This is a noise suppressor in case you use the rearlight 12V connection of the car itself on the bulb. But it's better to use the MMI 12V rear light connection. It uses the DCAN signal when the gear is in reverse.

Stay free. It is only used in combination with the small black box, when powered by the number lamp.
Use CVBS OUT labeled "reverse camera"

I dont know what mmi you have. You must connect just the cable labeled "12V reverse camera" to camera power. And put "reverse line detect "off

The 2 yellow plus on the main loom are labelled CCD CVBS and the other DVR CVBS. There are 2 power wires on the link also. The pink one of labelled CAMPOW and the other DVRPOW?

Thanks for your help everyone. I have it installed and working. I know the specific errors to us for the rear camera. It was the pink pretty wire and ccd-cvbs yellow connector.

Last question. Does anyone have the pin for the factory settings? The screen in idrive is the same size as the 6.6" screen. Like a split screen.

would this require for me to install the mic adapter that comes with the andream box? or do i not have to do any installation related to the mic? thats one area i was confused with the installation process, whether to install the mic or not, since i already have the OEM mic installed in my car.

I just realized that MCU isn't posted for the A unit (at least on the first page). Just in case, here's a copy of 20.10.22.16. I asked if there's a newer one, will find out tomorrow probably. I think I had to rename the file to upgrade.bin

edit 8/17/21: I've gone back down to 20.06.02. I've had it happen sometimes where the volume of the mmi gets really low when it switches from idrive to mmi and vice versa. Seems to be happening a bit more frequently. Will give the newer firmware a try with the 20.06.02 MCU.

edit2 8/19/21: 20.06.02 works better with 3.5.0.9.gpe.b than 20.10.22.16.
