Chassis Stabilization: Drive moderately Brake system: Stop carefully

I have 2012 BMW 328i (F30) for last 2 weeks I have

Chassis Stabilization: Drive moderately
Brake system: Stop carefully

By reading the forums here, decided to purchase OBD2 scanner to find out which sensor is faulty.

I purchased

1) Veepeak OBDCheck BLE OBD2 Bluetooth Scanner
2) BimmerLink app

The (4) codes I got from the BimmerLink app are

1C Integrated chassis management

482651: Slip angle estimator - inputs not valid SBS
482656: Slip angle estimator - internal degradation due to SBS
4827B3: Internal control unit - Undervoltage at Terminal 30
48002C: LDM function - high-level operational readiness brake control unit

I checked bmwfault.codes website for above codes, first 3 codes (482651, 482656, 4827B3 returned no results), code 48002C returned following results

ECU Variant: icm_25
Service Plan: Activation of a driver assistance function not possible. DSC does not permit activation.
Fault Impact: Supply voltage between 9 and 16 volts. Terminal 15 on

I was hoping BimmerLink app will identify location of the sensor to be replaced. Maybe it does, but I'm not sure if I'm seeing or reading the information correctly.

I would appreciate any suggestions, thanks in advance.

First check that your battery is good. You have codes telling you that there is low voltage. Have your battery tested first because it's free and easy then continue from there. It would be very rare to have a brake and chassis malfunction at the same time out of nowhere and have it not relate to electrical or sensors.

Thanks for the tip @njdangelo!

I never changed the battery on this car. It's going to be 10 years since i purchased the vehicle (new).

I'll go ahead and replace the battery and go from there.

Make sure you have it properly coded on install

Question

I have purchased/installed brand new car battery and registered it using bimmerlink app. With new battery, I have 11 erorrs. I just need some help fixing "Chassis Stabilization: Drive moderately Brake system: Stop carefully"

1C Integrated chassis management / Error memory
48002C: LDM function - high-level operational readiness brake control unit

Info about 48002C code from BMW Fault Codes website
- Activation of a driver assistance function not possible. DSC does not permit activation.
- Supply voltage between 9 and 16 volts. Terminal 15 on
- Continue troubleshooting in DSC control unit and work through fault according test plan. Delete fault in Integrated Chassis Management.

I'm still not sure how to go about this, any assitance I would greatly appreciate.

Changing out the battery will always produce a bunch of fault codes. Clear all the codes and find which come back. Go from there.

Those codes only say the operating voltage range on Terminal 15 and that Terminal 30 has a low voltage. Neither is indicative of a bad battery.

It's very common when an ABS sensor is wanky. Anything and everything that relies on wheel speed information can be affected.

Now you know it wasn't the battery. You probably need to have a dealer or an Indy skilled with BMW got through the troubleshooting of the DSC control unit.

Changing the battery doesn't produce codes. It's no different than disconnecting the battery to do service work, and that doesn't throw codes. The worst that can happen is you may have to reset the clock.

Update.

After I cleared all of the codes, with bimmerlink, same code appeared again
48002C: LDM function - high-level operational readiness brake control unit
I also had other 4 error codes as well, one of them was
480932: Brake fluid sensor - brake fluid level too low
I decided to add brake fluid, following day, error code 48002C disappeared.

I'm not sure if this has anything to do with me adding brake fluid, but so far day 3 and
error code 48002C & "Chassis Stabilization: Drive moderately Brake system: Stop carefully"
is now gone. I hope it stays like this.

Thanks everyone for assistance, I appreciate it.

You should probably tell my F80 to stop throwing codes for me whenever I disconnect the battery.

Last time I checked this is the F30 forum.

I've disconnected my battery a number of times, it's never thrown a code. If it was normal for disconnecting and/or replacing the battery to throw codes that would then have to be cleared it would say so in TIS. It doesn't. It does caution 'If the ignition is not switched off when the vehicle battery is disconnected, fault memories may be set in some control units.'

Perhaps they have learned from previous screwups. I won't hold my breath. My ignition was off. Just passed 7 years with the original battery in my F32.
