I have a 2015 328i and I opened my exhaust flap by unplugging the wire so I was wondering can I get a plug that I can use that will give me oem look or something like that because right now I have the wire tapped and zip tied.

I don't remember from where exactly (thinking it might be the same place that was selling the ASD delete harness) but it was fairly expensive (like30-40$).

Edit :

After literally a 5 second search on google :

i used to have mine unplugged but now have it set with Bimmercode/link as well. Easier, cleaner, and you get the bonus of being able to code other useful things to your car.

Not sure if it's the same on 328's, but I just pulled the fuse from the rear fuse box. Wire is still plugged in and the valve stays open

Makes sense, the default position in case of component failure should be the one that doesn't hinder the operation of the car, which would be open. Not that open doesn't affect the operation of the car, it does by causing longer warm up times, but that's not a safety issue, whereas a loss of acceleration capability in a passing situation would be.

I've been using this dummy flap actuator for the last 10k miles. No issues whatsoever, works great.

My actuator broke during a track day, I left it plugged in but removed the connecting pin and secured the flap open with metal picture wire. Not an elegant solution but it was cheap and doesn't throw a code, car has to be off the ground to see it.

it is in the sister app Bimmerlink, which can also clear codes from coding with bimmercode.

This.

You need BimmerLink to compliment BimmerCode.

Would be nice if both apps were merged into one. Even a slight upcharge to the base cost of the individual apps to have one app with the convenience of coding, plus reading faults/codes.

Looks like I am always following your footsteps, brother. LOL. Just bought BimmerLink (already had BimmerCode).

I used BimmerLink to leave my Exhaust Flap open. I used BimmerCode to code my ASD to the Model and Engine of an M4.

It is TRULY a significant sound/motor difference with my exhaust and the M4 ASD coding.

I've got both Bimmercode and Bimmerlink and my bimmerlink app does not show any control for my exhaust flap and was told by those guys that my car may not be configured right. Does anyone know of a way to check through bimmer code to make sure it's programmed correctly? I've dug through it pretty well and haven't seen anything so I'm hoping that its something I missed.

The best solution is the one I did, you buy this part 18302411427, it is the dummy flap actuator that the performance exhausts of the 30i and 40i have, it is totally compatible and also leaves no faults in the control unit. In addition to canceling completely if it is the case of having the actuator motor, in Aliexpress I also bought the connectors and sealed them with silicone to prevent moisture https://es.aliexpress.com/item/32877...d=siM6RdVdCvob

these are the pieces
