I just tried my friend's KW street comfort. The car glue to the road amazingly and much less movement and bounce than my dinah spring.
I should have get coil over straight!! |

My 0.02cents: What are you looking to do? Are you looking to significantly lower the car more than stock? Will you be adjusting it constantly? Are you going for looks or handling?
If you want a mild, decent drop but functional, the Dinan Springs + Bump Stop combo is good. If you won't be screwing around with the ride height or spring dampening this is pretty much a go. It also improves the handling immensely. But if you want more than a 1" drop, want the ability to adjust, KW is the way to go. For me, Dinan was sufficient since I don't have the space, time or desire to keep on adjusting ride height and go lower. Plus the warranty is nice so I don't have to worry about bringing it to the dealer. Going back, I don't think I would have done it any differently. But I really like the KW coilovers and don't think it is a bad idea at all.

Great info. Thanks guys. Personally, my concern would be eliminating ride bounciness, enhancing stiffness and handling and a modest drop would it hurt. Sounds like either option would accomplish that. However, the Coilover seems to allow more flexibility. I will not be adjusting the ride height, except for that one initial time. My plans have since changed and I may be holding off on either option, but am still curious to see what others think as well. Thanks so much for your inputs. Great posts! |

From what I've heard (and read on other threads), the bounciness can be removed with Dinan - Bilstein B8 combo.
This matchup seems to be better than BMW's MPS. I also read that if you don't want to replace all 4 corners, using the front OE struts, B8 in the back and Dinan is a good combo. Should be installing the Dinan in spring.

If you have DHP then get Dinan. If not, get KW coils so you can set it exactly at the height you want. I have the KW V2 and love them to death over the H&R coils I had on this car.
