Xdrive struts with RWD springs (m-sport)

I know from research that RWD struts dont fit the Xdrive, and xdrive M springs are the same height as base. So would the dampening from the m struts on an xdrive pair well with the springs from the RWD M version? Does anyone run this setup?

I'm debating getting the eibach springs for my base suspension 320i xdrive but for the same price can piece together used RWD springs and xdrive struts from the M package equipped vehicles.

It most likely won't work.

Search because there are already a few posts here where people have done this.

Also to note, there is no m suspension for xdrive. They use the same struts and springs as base suspension.

I have searched multiple times, haven’t found anything like what I was referencing. I know the M performance xdrive is the same height, but does it use the same strut and spring combo? I’d assume stiffer setup since

There is no m suspension for xdrive, just EDC or base.
