Woah, your bearings looked extremely clean for the mileage. Specially if it was stock... Maybe the previous owner changed the bearings in the past.. Do you have any info on the history of the car?

Also, i find it really interesting that you Opt for the MMR baffle instead of the S55 oil pump and pan.. How often have you tracked it since the MMR baffle? Have you gotten any Oil analysis done for fun? If the MMR baffle is able to prevent oil starvation during track use I might actually get one..

Last question lolll, How do you find the square setup at the limit compared to the staggered setup? im aware you have more rubber than before. But how was the staggered setup handling at the limit vs the square setup??

Excellent setup overall. Im sure it must be an absolute blast to drive!

Hey!

Soo I have the full service record for the car and they are the original bearings. They seem be in line with what others look like on here. Personally I don’t think the car has a bearing problem, but rather an oil starvation problem. I’ve only done 4 track days since the change, so not a lot of data, but MMR have advised none of their customers have had an issue with this solution.

In regards to square over staggered, huge difference. Staggered just has a huge amount of understeer at the limit, this helps get the car more neutral

Any pics with the car on the fl-5 wheels? I'm impatiently waiting on my set which is backordered and there's surprisingly not a lot of pics out there of fl-5s on the f30. Fantastic build btw

Hey all!

Sorry have been away a bit, had twin boys and life has gotten busy!

Did a few more changes to the car. Added a tow ball as I needed a car to tow the trailer and I recently got a Model Y for my daily. Decided towing with an electric car sucks a little because of range issues.

Figured having a tow ball would also allow me to tow a small trailer to track days if needed. So have installed that.

Also while working on the rear I’ve finally put the rear sway bar on. Will test it at a track day in November

I also did the F80 front control arms so the front is running redic tow at the moment

Haven’t driven the car much so don’t have any great picture of the wheels. Will get some proper ones once it’s off the lift

i noticed you mentioned the hardrace front sway bar initially. what made you change your choice to h&r? did you have any issues fitting the H&R sway bars? any issues with clearance?

The hard race were out of stock and I was able to get the H&R bars pretty easily and quickly.

Install wasn’t too bad, but I had the front subframe off as I was also doing rod bearings, oil baffle and sump seal. Firmest thought was excellent. Rear bar was really easy to fit.

Front sway bar needed adjustable end links otherwise it would foul on the steering arms

Also forgot to mention I actually have

18x9.5 +28 on the front and 18x9.5 +35 on the rear

255/35 R18 tyres all round

Both fit really well, but I am running -2 degrees camber on the rear and -3.4 on the front

Wheels look great. I actually ended up going a different direction as they were on back order for so long and I didn't want to wait any longer. Either way great looking wheel and fits nicely with the car.
