Sadly not it seems, quite surprised. I do like the look of it. Reviews are all very favourable.

PS the car is a Bronco.
PPS sorry forgot to add, love the new Disco, supreme vehicle
Of course, Bronco. My petrolhead skills are on the wane!

Cheers, I'm very happy with the new Disco and after 14 months overall the novelty has not worn off.

Growing on me, but swaying towards this if I can cope with the engine.

Amazing lease deals right now. £1k down and £550 a month, 15k miles and that includes nearly £40 a month of road tax. I like the Disco, Q7 and X5, but at over £200 a month less, hard to ignore. On 8k miles it’s only about £500 a month.

Having had a closer look I hadn’t selected R Design, so that’s the Momentum.

Looking again the B5D R Design is £535 on 8k miles and £587 on 15k, still fantastic value.

Which site are you looking at? The XC90 is HUGE but that's not a bad thing for us tall people.

You need the T8, save the environment and faster....And you can glide away under leccy power when you don’t want people to know it’s a 4 pot!

If you want a 4 seat convertible, you could do worse than an E class a la Broncho...

That's funny because I quite fancy a Mercedes next. Never had one and it's a itch I'd like to scratch. Hoping for a good lease deal in another year or so when my current one runs out, lease prices on E Classes aren't good at the moment though.

They look pretty good on leasing.com to me. What model are you thinking about?

E Class Saloon or Estate, 12k and 3 months down you're talking £550+ a month for boggo spec and engined cars. I'm not paying that.

To be fair just realised I was searching 24 month lease only. 48 month are dipping below £400 a month which is decent but not sure I can keep a car for that long!

They’re really low prices through for an E Class, both for a 24 month and 48 month. I can’t believe there’s much more to come than that. What were you expecting to see?

When I'm paying £322 a month for a well specced Arteon on 12k 24 months and no deposit I can't stomach paying £230+ more for a similar car (albeit more premium) with less equipment. I'd pay up to £450 a month on a 24 month deal but no more than that. Achievable, it's just a case of waiting for the right deal to come along.

I think those E classes are low, they’re cheaper than 5 series and A6 right now, but you never know.

I’ve seen Volvo do great 24 month deals and I’ve seen VW occasionally. Not many more though, you might get lucky though I guess.

An Arteon isn’t really comparable in price to an E Class, list is roughly £10k lower which is going to make some difference on those monthlies however keen they are to move them.

It's not £10k.

Arteon 2.0 TSI DSG Elegance £35.5k.

E Class E220d AMG Line £41.7k.

So that's only £6.2k plus the tax but the difference is less than £1k over 2 years so you're talking about a £7k difference. And you would expect residuals to be better on the E Class.

I guess it's all about discounts, no doubt VW are willing to discount the less desirable Arteon more than Mercedes are the E Class.

Get you, another controversial post by me suggesting an E Class is a level above an Arteon. Outrageous of me.

I already said it was my opinion, if someone’s seen a 24 month lease in the last 5 years, on an E Classes at £320 a month with no deposit, please pop up to prove me wrong. Happy to be shown otherwise.

Or, just pop up with another personal dig.

Who suggested an E Class at £320 a month!?

+1 apart from my serious dislike of the Paul Raymond school of interior design, I've never been particularly impressed during the dozens of hours I've spent in E-class cabs all over the place.

You said it was too expensive and you had a fully loaded Arteon at that price as if it was a comparison. You didn’t say otherwise, apologies for misunderstanding.

And you got an amazing deal on the Arteon, given that a 24 month lease now is north of £500 and not far off the E Class deals.

You could well get lucky again. But it’s tough if you want to tie it in with the end of an existing lease. Easier if you have flexibility though I guess and don’t need one at the end.
