Coding out adaptive and replacing with B4 & Eibach
The adaptive suspension on my 2017 335D is well and truly knackered. The car is ticking towards 144k miles, so not really surprising.
I had considered Bilstein damptronics but I feel that they're too expensive for what they are. So I'm thinking of coding out the adaptive suspension and replacing it with standard B4s and Eibach/ACS springs. Has anyone else gone down this route? If so, any thoughts? Or alternatives? Its my daily driver, I'm looking for a decent combination of comfort and stability. |

At 144K miles, other suspension components (especially ones with rubber bushings) need to be inspected.
While there is nothing wrong with B4 shocks, Koni Special Active shocks are worth exploring. This thread discusses Koni Special Active and Eibach springs. https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1675667 Please search posts from johnung to learn more. I also recommend the same combination |

I just ditched the Bilstein B6 damptronics for Koni yellows (both with eibach). I'm pretty happy with it, hardly ever miss the adaptive function. If you don't track or autocross, I'd also recommend the special active.
