Correct Brake pads

Hi,

I'm looking to change my front brake pads but I'm unsure about the correct ones for my car (2016 430D RHD AUTO).

The options for my VIN are as follows:
  • S337 M Sports Package
  • S704 M Sports Suspension
  • S710 M Leather Steering Wheel
  • S715 M Aerodynamics Package
  • S2NH M Sport Brake

My front calipers are 4 pots with 370mm discs. I’m looking at these Brembo brake pads:
  • P 06 088 (112mm)
    • Suspension: for vehicles with M-technology; Braking System: for vehicles with Performance brakes
  • P 06 096 (115mm)
    • Suspension: for vehicles with M-technology

The thing that’s driving me crazy is the small size difference between them (3mm). Which one is the correct one for my car? And if I ended up fitting the slightly smaller P 06 088, would there be any noticeable difference, given the minor size difference? Of course, I plan to fit the correct pads, but I’m curious about what would happen.

Thanks for any help and sorry if this has already been covered a million times (I did do a quick search).

Look up the OEM part number at realoem.com, use that to reference the correct Brembo.

So tried this and it lists:
34116878882
34116878876

However, these aren't the same part (e.g. different size and weight) not just a different part number with the same physical part.

Entering my Vin in realoem shows the following (see images attached):

Your best bet would be to take RealOEM part number as a reference and call the local dealer's parts department to reconfirm the part number. It's not uncommon for part numbers to be superseded.

Once the OEM part number is confirmed, you can also use that part number to identify aftermarket brake pads.

I personally use BMW OEM M Sport brake pads, despite the dust. The brake pads have an excellent aggressive initial bite.

I'll probs go ahead and do this once everything opens after Christmas. Although definitely slightly prefer Brembo pads (find they fade less but maybe im just bias) to normal BMW M Sport pads. Thanks for the help.

34 11 6 865 460 is what FCP Euro decided was the p/n for the OE front pads on pre-LCI M-Sport (blue caliper, 2NH) brakes.

RealOEM showed four different p/ns for pads. I find RealOEM pretty inaccurate and/or confusing; for example it showed the wrong part drawing and number for a headlight bracket for my E53 X5.

What are the last 7 digits of your VIN so I can look it up? I am not seeing everything from your photos

Realoem is pretty clear. The BMW pads ending in 8882 are the ones for your car with your build date and with the S2NH blue brake kit installed.

That 8876 pad number that you mentioned was for M Performance Brake Kit which if your car had it, the calipers would be red/orange/yellow, but not Blue.

See attached photos for your realoem build date, your realoem stock pad part number and the comparable Brembo pad number from the Brembo catalog.

Hope this helps!
