question about st x/xa coilovers

those of you who have done ST x/xa, did you use your oem strut mounts? and did st provide strut mount gaskets or did you use your oem ones? i wanna get the st xa but i wanna make sure the gaskets are included or if i can reuse mine. 2017 340i xdrive, 52k miles

Personally I'd fit all new whilst your suspension is out; saves having to go in there and do it all again if something fails soon after reinstallation

Makes sense IMO

Two items can fail. 1. The bearings themselves as they can get dirt in them and 2. the bushing inside the top hat fails over time.

Hey @banb1979 lifting that stone with 2 hands is definitely the proper way to get something on your shoulders to crush all of your bones. To many amateurs break their back doing it the wrong way. Six pints before lifting anything heavy. What is the world coming to these days?

The ST kits - like most kits - do not contain new strut mounts or gaskets. Your car is old enough and with high enough miles, that you should replace them. Best time to replace shock parts is when it is in your hand! :-)
