So as stated in the title i'm looking to remap my car and just wanting if anyone has recommendations for companies to use in the West Yorkshire / South Yorkshire area

and

What sort of gains i can be looking at for my N47 engine?

Any info and advice on this would be greatly received

Efficient Dynamic these run at 163bhp compared to the standard 184bhp but they are the same engine

Definitely interested.

I found a place in Germany for mine but more-bhp.com is the good one in the UK I heard of.

There was a user or 2 here that used them. Sure if you searched on that name you may find some info.

CC tunning in Burton On Trent re good. I used them and have no complaints. May be a bit more of a drive, but the trip home will be fun!

At a guess the lower bhp is because the ED's rev limit is lower? Would make sense as it has the same torque as the regular 320d. So surely big bhp gains are possible if so.

I've not had a good experience of 'remap science' in yorkshire, in the past even though friendly folk tbf.

Said my pheaton couldn't be remapped and needed dash out (long job) to gain access to the ECU, took it elsewhere 30 mins later and the ecu was out and remapped!.

My mate had a 160 TD punto remapped and kept going into limp mode at high speed, suspected overboost.

There's a local place to me that's been around for years (Art Motor Engineers) which has a rolling road the works so i think i'm going to get a price from them, but before hand ask what method they use as I've read they shouldn't have to remove anything to do this remap about a 90min job! But i would rather travel for the right job done!

The 163bhp ED remaps to the same power/performance as the 184 version, the engines are identical. Should make 225/230bhp from a decent remap.

I would highly recommend Unicorn Motor Developments in Stockport. Bmw Specialist with dyno. Diagnostic & error checks, Before & After Dyno graphs. Multiple runs on the dyno and a quality custom remap to suit the car.

RS Tuning in Leeds is my recommendation. Paul's done my current & last BMW. Excellent gains, no side-effects or issues. Choose wisely, as I believe it's common that some companies cause subsequent problems with DPF regen after mapping. My son also uses Paul at RS for his mapping needs (he's a BMW Technician) - Just had his E92 335d done.

Hope this is helpful
