Tyres on 435d 704m alloys

Hi all,

Had my 435d GC on 704m alloys nearly 7months now- and its the TPMS that has prompted me to look at the pressures this morning. I am aware the tyre sizes are staggered, but i have 225/40/19 on the fronts and 255/35/19 on the rears, is that correct? Should they not both be 35 ratio?

Got the car new from Sytner Oldbury

What pressures are people using for this setup?
Tyres are bridgestone potenza runflats

They are correct. The profile is a percentage of the width - so if you work it out both work out to c.90mm... The slight variation is I believe made to be exact by running * marked tyres.

I always tended to run the driver door sticker pressure on the rear for 3 occupants and the fronts at the full load pressure - otherwise the edges will wear abnormally on the fronts...

My tyres on my 2016 F30 335d have different profiles too.
255/30/20 & 225/35/20.
I had asked on here about pressures a few weeks back and a lot running 2.6bar

Brilliant. Thanks everyone for the responses. Think I'll go with 2.6bar all round

Mine was from Sytner Oldbury too.

I find 2.5 bar front and 2.7 bar rear to work best for me. In between the normal and loaded figures.
