CIC Install is 45 Minutes. NBT shouldn't be much longer. You can operate the car as normal during install. The install will resume from where it left off whenever the car is shut off and restarted.

I think it will take much less time. I just copied 10 albums from an external USB drive over to the NBT hard drive and it took literally less than a minute! Back when I was on CIC, it would take at least 20 minutes.

Can anyone confirm that there is a new 202 parkway from 202/63 to 202/611? It should be going between Stump Road and Upper State Road in Montgomeryville, PA. Can anyone confirm this? It's a new parkway that opened by my home and if the map update has this then I'll buy it. Otherwise no reason. The Parkway opened a year ago. Let me know - thanks!

To be clear, the 2014 NBT Maps for North America were released around 3 weeks ago by BMW to dealers.

The are labelled in BMW's ETK (Part's Catalogue) as 2014-2 rather than 2014-1 for some reason. The part number is 65902350410 and the list price for the update (map + enabling code) is around $350. Anyone with access to BMW's ASAP (Aftersales Assistance Portal) can request the map update and/or an enabling code.

The BMW system for short map codes (which you enter into iDrive when prompted after plugging in a USB memory stick with the DVD) has been cracked and there are an increasing number of people who can generate these codes. In order for them to generate a code, they need your VIN (last 7 digits) and a navigation enabled file from your vehicle. If they do not ask for this file, they will have access to BMW's ASAP system and can download it from there.

That is not a mistake in ETK either. There was a 2014-1 NBT version that made a brief appearance and was withdrawn due to errors, and now it released as 2014-2, as you can see from ISPS Map Server:
