Yeah, they get paid what they're actually worth rather than what they want. They hate when that happens.

If that is the case, that doesn't explain why they wouldn't even consider the facts and documentation that was right in front of them...
Yes and no. They get paid what BMW quotes out for factory service time to do the job, which is typically much less than it takes the shop to actually do the work, so they don't make money on warranty.

Kind of like when I watched a guy swap rotors and pads on my 2008 335. Took him 15 minutes per wheel (real time video). Took me over 30 minutes.

...I thot both the original TSB warranty extension and the class action lawsuit included both timing and oil change modules, where the parts kit sent to dealers includes both? Hope ALL is replaced for you.

You have a brand new car, how are they not honoring your warranty?

The statement about dealers getting paid less for warranty work depends on their hourly rates.

As of last year dealers are not allowed to quote longer labor time for out or warranty work vs. labor time for warranty work. So if Bmw book says 3hrs - it's three hours no matter who pays.

As far as as hourly rates a bmw NA does cap that rate.

You’re going to have to give a pretty good explanation of that before anyone here is going to believe you. BMW doesn’t indiscriminately refuse warranty work. If they’re declining coverage there’s a reason.

No details, no real context. Do you have a tune? What mods do you have on your M440? Either of those could invalidate your warranty. No one is going to believe on face value, that BMW isn’t honoring a new car warranty.
