Throttle response needs remapping
Sometimes I find the throttle response/lag dangerous in my F31. For example, when I merge out from a lane that's crawling into the next open lane I expect my medium throttle input to bring me up to speed with ease. The problem is not from lack of power ('lil B48 is perfect for daily use), rather it is from the momentary lag with the onset of power. Even in sport mode it appears to be present albeit less pronounced than in comfort setting.
Essentially, I want more linearity from the pedal. My S54 M Coupe is also drive-by wire but the naturally aspirated throttle response is perfect after some software mapping. Maybe it's the ITBs? I don't know but I'm hoping one of these pedal tuners will bring more driving enjoyment and eliminate potentially hair-raising moments.

I really need to reset the throttle, there's so much input lag lately on my gas pedal. Those instructions look accurate for E90, but I'm not sure how do it with my F30 with comfort access.

Short of a complete tune (which will include throttle remapping) your best bet is a Sprint Booster. Takes about 10min to install and really does make a difference in the drive by wire throttle delay
I have a tune in my car, but had one in my previous BMW b4 a tune, and have one in the wife's new Benz. She too was unhappy with the throttle and this made her happy - she uses Race 2 setting to give her that old 'mechanical' throttle linkage feel

Thanks for your input. After some quick and dirty research, I picked up RaceChip's XLR unit. I'll report back with my findings and setting(s) that I find optimal. Hopefully it arrives this week since it will be coming up from Southern California. Yeeeeee!
