F31 with Track Package

Does anyone know how many F31s were sold with the Track Package ?

Seems like they are "unicorns' probably rarer than an e91 with manual transmission and sport/msport package

I didn't even know it was an option on the F31.

Considering I've never even seen an F31 with MSport package, I agree a wagon configured with the package would be a unicorn.

It's pretty rare. For the F31 LCI they removed the track package option from the 328dx (was still available on 328/330ix though).

My 2016 F31 328ix has the Track Handling package. Previous owner optioned it in a manner that made it unique and it was meticulously kept. One of the needles in the haystack.

I have the track handling pack, I really wish it would have come with an appropriately sized version of the mperfomance rotors though :/

Just bought mine out of my lease with a $6000 discount on the original residual. I ordered it to my specs, M sport package, track package, cold weather, leather, alcantara trim and carbon fiber.

Larger front and rear brakes, 2-piston rear calipers (up from single piston), additional engine cooling, adaptive suspension and variable sport steering.

Nice looking wagon....I see you have fog lights, doesn't the THP option delete fogs for better airflow to the aux radiators? Also, was the F31 ever offered with the B58? And/or 6MT?

My wagon has THP and fog lights, but I'm the 2nd owner, so not sure if the original owner had added it to their build options if the THP might not include/delete it...?

AFAIK, the Track Handling Package (THP) includes:

- 4 piston front /2 piston rear Brembo fixed calipers painted in blue with the highly coveted ///M logo /s
- Larger rotors
- Variable Sport Steering (VSS)
- 18" 398 Orbit Grey staggered wheels
- Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (normally you'd get run flats as standard)
- Adaptive M Suspension

I'm not aware of better cooling with the THP. Please correct me if I'm wrong in any of the above.

Unless there was another BMW press car in Estoril over Saddle with the THP, I'm assuming this was yours:

Very solid review of an LCI 328ix Sports Wagon with the THP! Yeeeeeeehaaaaaaa!

Usually F3Xs only have an opening on the passenger side of the front grill for the oil cooler. The THP cars have an opening on the driver's side for an additional coolant radiator. There seems to be inconsistencies between model years, but this holds true for the most part.

Interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I've since read mixed information about the additional cooler being only track handling vs all M Sport. I'm having trouble quickly verifying what equipment my F31 has on realoem.com (and too lazy atm to remove my fender liner to peak). I'd be interested in retrofitting it, if possible. Not that I need it, but I'm always up for more modifications.

From what I've been able to gather, M Sport package cars for 2014 and 2015 came with the extra cooler. And from 2016 onwards, you needed the THP to get it. I think that non M Sport cars with the blue brakes might've gotten the aux cooler too, but not 100% sure.
