It looks awesome when it's installed. Fitment is perfect and you can tell a lot of development hours were spent. Performance wise, it's a little bit louder. If you are looking for wooshy turbo sounds this isn't the intake for you. However, I went out last night for a couple pulls in the cold weather and the car does seem like it's got a little more bam-bam through the midrange. I also noticed my exhaust was popping a little more than usual.. that could just be the cold air though. The only thing I think I'm disappointed in would be the scratches left on the CF cover from the clips when you open the airbox. I probably could have been more careful, but I think if I had to do it again I'd probably make a little square of some protective wrap for the clips to sit on. |

Haven't been in Morgan Hill since March of this year. We are now in Opelika, AL. Regardless, even when we were in CA the same policy applied and we couldn't ship to a CA address any product that was not 50 state legal. Simply saying "race product only" and that type of thing doesn't hold water any longer.

Dinan_Engineering Any chance we could get a video of the CAI to hear the difference in sound?
Thanks!

Sound difference is minimal in the grand scheme of things and a video wouldn't pick up the nuanced difference very well, if at all (we have tried in the past). If you are after sound the Dinan intake is not for you. You will want an open air intake if that is a priority.

I've had it for about 2 weeks now. My car only has an AA tune and Dinan Mid-Pipe.
Sound Exactly the same, I thought I would hear the turbo spool a bit more, specially with a tune. Can't tell a difference. Performance I have the feeling that the car is breathing a little better and the throttle response is slightly improved. I hope it isn't psychological. Looks This is obviously the best part. If you like to take your car to "Cars & Coffee" (I never do, don't have time), this would be a conversation piece once you open the hood. Not a huge benefit for me, but that's where this intake shines. Bottom line, if you like the carbon fiber, your car has other CF accessories and you don't mind spending $600 on an intake to complete the look of your car. Go for it. If you are looking for performance per dollar, look elsewhere unless you have everything else. As always, just my 2 cents...
