LCI radio panel

In my 2015 F30 I recently swapped out the radio panel for the LCI mainly for the ambient lighting and it's awesome. Something I'm wondering though, shouldn't the temps (in white) turn orange at night? Photo attached...

I believe I have that. Otherwise it wouldn't give me the white at all. Nor would it allow the ambient light retrofit.

Possible it's the piece itself?

The lighting package provides the ability to connect and control the ambient lighting. It's my understanding that in order to change the display color you have to have IHKA3. There are lengthy posts about retrofitting that into cars with only IHKA.

Mine is NR92925

I think I may have figured it out via coding but more clarity is absolutely welcome.

Well shucks, I was going to ask if you’d try the “uncoded” method of turning the dash brightness down to see if it would change colors.
I guess I will have to wait until I do it to ours.
