F82 M4 seats in F30?

Hey all, I’ve been looking to upgrade my coral red sport seats to some sahkir orange seats. I understand that F80 to F30, F82 to F32, as well as F82 to F22, are pretty much plug and play, but what about F82 to F30? I recently found a mint pair of sahkir orange seats for a fair deal, but I just want to make sure that they would fit without issues, besides the useless handles on the sides.

I suspect it should work. The only difference is the fold/slide function on the M4 set.

I plan to try the same thing with my F30.

Same boat, Just found a great deal for a pair of m4 seats but I own an f30.. did it work out for you?

Did it end up being a direct swap?

Did it end up being a direct swap?

Nope. Driver was flawless, passenger only works for first 60 seconds of plugging battery and then locks out.

I had a buddy who was helping me trouble shoot but he went MIA.

I need to source a modder to figure it out. It looks like pins need to be reconfigured.

There's another thread somewhere where another guy had the same issue.

i've heard you have to swap out the box from the thats inside the seats. hopefully you still have your stock seats.

I have the original boxes and two sets of new boxes - none of them work. It's pin configuration.

What you've heard is either speculations or a different conversion. Keep in mind mine is a luxury line.

i dont know what the difference in luxury line is but yes.. it was confirmed by people who actually did these swaps in this forum. I'm sure if you searched you could find the original threads.

Should work just fine! A friend of mine did it and the only weird thing was the fold slide feature.

Did you ever get this sorted out? I have the same issue, F82 (2 door) in my F31 (4 door) the driver seat power and heat work but no lumbar or bolsters work I am getting coding done soon hopefully that gives it the full function.

The passenger seat does the same it works for about 60 seconds after connecting the battery then it goes dead. No power and no heat... the modules are different for sure I went with the modules from the new seats in both. The original passenger is a small black box and the M4 passenger is a larger white box (identical to the driver side).

My car is a 2015 pre LCI luxury that had power/heated seats, my donar car is a 2016 M4

So any links to a solution for the seat dying after a minute, I have searched and searched and read and read lots of opinions but no clear cut solution to this exact issue.

At this point I am getting frustrated and help would be appreciated.
