That day finally arrived and I couldn't resist taking a couple of pics on the way home...

...and here's a thing, handy tip from the salesman - with the latest update you don't need the Y-cable to connect an iPod, just the standard USB-to-30pin cable works just fine, so that's my 80Gb iPod Classic sorted then

Oh and the colour head-up display... brilliant!

Your Luxury in Red is beautiful...

I have always despise Red BMW... but
The F30 is the first BMW that i accept and like it in Red...

Thanks for the Y-cable info! anyone else can confirm his statement ?

Beautiful car. I just love the elegance of the luxury line. 3 weeks, and my Alpine white will arrive :-)
What kind of tyre is that? 18`?

Yep, 18's - front 225/45 and rear 225/40.

Congrats on a beautiful car! I'm guessing you ordered the factory privacy glass. Is it a tint (film) or is the glass itself dark?

Yes, I went for the factory tint in the end. The glass itself is actually darker.

should be fine, I use the white Apple USB cable in my 2011 E92 and it has full integration including BMW Apps.

if you did not get bmw assist and bmw apps you NEED the Y-cable. i did not get those options and the white apple cable doesn't work, i needed a y-cable.

I have to agree. I'm not a fan of ANY brand of car in red (just a personal preference I guess)...BUT....WOW! This is beautiful and I think the Luxury Line makes it even look better with the chrome trim....Not to mention, I'm diggin' the privacy glass in the back. Hmmm, this might be an option I will look into the near future for our Bimmer (but then again, I already have the side manual sun shades)....Well done RobUK!

I've got to echo that I'm not a fan of red cars unless they're made my Ferrari or Lamborghini... but your MR 328i looks lovely! Haven't seen those wheels on any F30s in Canada either... Euro only option?

The wheels are 18" V-spoke style 398 on the UK configurator. You're right, I looked at the US & Canada configurators, but I couldn't see how to change the stock wheels.
