I wanted to see how the M-performance carbon fiber looked with mineral grey, so I tried to photoshop the spoiler. This is my first time using photoshop, so I am not so good at this. I could not find a M-sport mineral grey so I used the luxury line instead (pics by Croatian test driver). What do you guys think and will the spoiler improve aerodynamics like on the new M6?

Sorry not a fan of it:
1) It's not in MG.
2)IMO it doesn't look nice on a rather elegant non M Sport F30.

Maybe a tad more downforce at the back at higher speeds?

Anyway thanks for trying/sharing.

Cheers

I think you guys are missing the point. He is thinking about putting it on a M-sport but couldn't find a M-sport in the right color to photoshop it on so he did it on the best picture he could find.

I think it should be body color on all colors where it won't stand out a lot. On red, silver, white, blue I would leave it bare CF. I think it looks nice. I'm planning on getting one for my red M-sport in CF. But it is available in both CF and plastic (to be painted) if I remember correct.

I have ordered a mineral grey M-Sport 328i, and I plan to add some M-Performance parts later. As Rossifumi said this pic was just to see how it looks with mineral grey. I think it will look better with M-sport, but I agree with you that it doesn't fit luxury line. The spoiler looks much better with white color.

If you ordered a MG 328 Sport Line then I woud say do it. It will look great on the M-Sport

I think both carbon fiber or blackpainted plastic will look good with red color. Did you order your car? Kul att se att det finns flera svenskar på den här forumet .

I will get the gloss black kidneys so maybe gloss black rear spoiler will look the best. But on the other hand I am also getting the CF interior and maybe some other CF parts so I haven't made up my mind yet. And yes, my car is ordered. So now I have to wait, wait and wait!

No, at least not according to the catalogue. But the black plastic can be painted for 500-1000kr at any paintshop. Nice looking car, I like the beige interior but its so hard to keep clean.

Here is two more shots, maybe it will look better in real life. I am not sure if I should choose carbon fiber or painted mineral grey plastic spoiler?

Look trough the thread on SG on E90Post as the color is quite similar and see some real life photos of CF vs painted. There must be a few at least.

I say no only because the new F30 looks a lot more blocky and the M-proformance spoiler is to curvy.

My car is Alpine White so I'm getting the spoiler in CF. However in YOUR case, you definitely want to go for a MG spoiler not in CF or black. Get it body coloured and it'll look awesome!

Good luck! I'll post pics as soon as I get mine!

The CF spoiler looks best on a white car, so it will look great on your car . I still think that CF will look good with mineral grey but only if you add some more CF part, not just only the spoiler.
