Its a nice thought but I just know I won't get around to it in time and by the time I do, the RF's I have on there will be worn down too far to use @ turn in. But yeah, conventional go flats would be a better tire for sure.

next battle will be finding someone to mount/balance lol maybe won't be as hard as my time... My near by horrible dealer wouldn't do it (they only mount their own that they sell new) then I called like 6+ local shops and took a while to find anyone who had the right equipment for that wide of tire with high rated speed.
Well, it’s been painful. Each tire has been patched, and where they were patched each of them leak! At first it was only one, dropping to 9 pounds over night. Now all four have been diagnosed with leaks. So unhappy. Now I️ need to deal with company for replacements and I will have to pay installation fees for a second time.

What?? From bestusedtires.com ? They should have a guarantee and pay for the remount/balance.

just reviving this thread. last week i went ahead to my near BMW and ask for inspection.
i didnt know doing the inspection is the BMW genius.
my heart is pounding due to my wheels are scraped all 4 of them. understandable on all 4 tires. i have a serious scratch in the bumper and keyed like 12" on passenger area.

it took only 5 mins and the report was just tires and excess miles.
tires were quoted $1200 lololol

the requirements on the report:
tires below 4/32 needs to replace
wheels has cracked needs to replace. no mention of scrape so im all good

i asked him if i can put any brand as long as RFT. he said YES! so i ordered these i believe i got the last batch $284 for 4 tires and free fedex shipping!

http://www.bestusedtires.com/search?...Condition=Used

looks like BMW is very forgiving on lease return

After I contacted bestusedtires.com, they shipped me four "new" used Contiprocontact SSRs, refunded me $60 for installation costs, and never asked for the leaky ones back. So now I have great tires on the car for turn in, and four leaky ones just in case I need to throw a new looking tire on the car for turn in
Their customer service is great!

I purchased the 'excessive wear & tear' option at lease signing. I called BMW and spoke to someone at the dealer, they said that the tires can be bald and with that coverage, it won't matter. I'll find out in about 7 months.

Thanks for the heads up on bestusedtires.com!!

Found these online: cheaper alternative to used tires. Have 2 months left on my lease and had a flat last night. Id like to minimize cost given limited time left on my lease. Anyone have any experience or reason not to buy?

It looks like this is an older thread, recently revived. One important point to consider, which has not been discussed, is if you are planning to lease another vehicle with BMW. If so, they tend to be much more lenient with wear-and-tear costs at lease return. I'd recommend consulting with your dealership a few weeks/months prior to lease turn-in, for an assessment. Based on their findings, use that as leverage if planning on getting a new BMW lease.

I purchased the car with summer tires, not run flats. I assume my requirement would be for summer tires, right?

Can you let me know where in SoCal to get used RFT for lease return? thanks.

In my experience, yes, as long as the fronts match and the rears match.

I have excessive outside shoulder wear in front left and right tires. I get the feeling it has been set up wrong in the first place if it's that pronounced or is that expected of OEM RFT Bridgestone on M-Sport 330s?
