Exhaust Help - 428i M4 Conversion
Hey Guys,
Im new here, wanted some help with some mods i wanted to do. I just bought a 428 XI 2014 coupe and wanted to make it more aggressive. I found a company in Toronto that sells M4 conversion bumpers for the 428i but the issue is my exhaust will not fit to the rear bumper, and I would like to install a nice exhaust on my car anyways but I dont know if its possible to find an exhaust that would fit the part. The company is called racingbees and they told me that they get their parts from the same factory that IKONmotorsport gets their replica bumpers from. ive seen a few guys on this forum who did that job, but they didnt indicate which exhaust they used. cheers! |

AWE quad will not fit an m4 rear bumper conversion....the quad tip is not on the right spot. It is farther out.....and M4 bumper opening are close the center. You will need an actual M4 exhaust to do a M4 conversion

This. But keep in mind I don't know how the piping fits in that case or if it even will to begin with. And even with a stock M4 exhaust, will it measure out to be the same distance apart as is on the M4 conversion bumper? I don't know the answer to that. But as Gen13 said, the AWE Quad will not fit, it'll only work for the M Sport bumper.

It looks like my best bet it to get a Mtech bumper and then match one of their diffusers with an exhaust,
m4 conversion bumper: http://racingbees.com/index.php?rout...search=&page=1 428i diffuser: racingbees.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=2157&search=&page=1 M diffuser: http://racingbees.com/index.php?rout...search=&page=1 that m4 conversion bumper looks quite different from a real m4 bumper. I think a 435 exhaust might work, I dont think m4 exhaust will be possible, its 2 seperate pipes |

What is your main intent of "more aggressive"? The actual look of the bumper with diffuser or dual exhaust --or both. As far as aggressive and exhaust, is it sound or look you are going for.
IMO: for sound/look/price, you could get the AWE quad tip exhaust and their template to cut your current bumper. Then you get looks, performance, and save money on a bumper and paint matching for a tune or other bolt-on. You should be able to get the AWE axle-back quad with template for not much more than USD$1,700.

My dads friend offered to do the job so he painted it super cheap and his mchanic tried to install it but he had no idea what he was doing. Next day I went with my dad and installed the front and back ourselves. He only charged me $250 CAD 😂. Gotta redo the sensors on tthe front tho.

Got my quads done too! I went the M Sport rear bumper though since I wasn't initially planning to go custom.
