I would also appreciate the details. I have a BMW X5 2017 40e and would like to get the Sirius XM set up. It currently doesn't show any option for Sirius XM in the i-drive. I already have Apple Car Play as one of the features on my car but I have not used this. Would this mean I also have Sirius XM?

No. CarPlay and Sirius XM are entirely different options.
