Car Inspection can't be done got this message can anyone help?

Looks like your car has tune. Did you know? Some states with emissions testing are looking for this. You need to be on stock software in order to pass. Specifically, there is a tamper code in the DME called the Cal ID that is compared to a checksum called the CVN. If the two don’t match you get flagged. I’m on a bootmod3 tune and to pass emissions I would have to flash back to stock and relock the DME.

No tune up at all. The only things I did to the car is retrofit for car play and I took it to the dealership for an update which they described it as programming/encoding control

It's the system on the computer that connects the obd that gives that message and there is no code or any info to know what the issue is . I still haven't been able to figure out the way to fix this .

What inspection are you trying to get done? Emission test? Is the car still under warranty. There is no way for us to tell. If it’s under warranty, the dealer needs to fix it.

Just the regular state inspection, I got the car about 2 months ago everything is pretty much stock no tune or anything like that

How many miles did you drive on the car after the dealer did the work? If you drove it under 60 miles it's possible they computer does not have the readiness monitors for inspection. The dealer doing the work could have reset the ECU resulting in that.
