M4 armrest vs F32 armrest?
Anyone know if these are the same? The realoem part pictures are IDENTICAL but the part numbers are different.
I have line on an alcantara armrest out of an M4, and can't figure out if it will actually fit. Thanks!

I would note that all F80/F82 Armrests slide iirc and only some F30/F32 armrests do. As a reminder, do NOT use realoem parts diagram as gospel as to appearance. They use generic parts drawings among all models that leave out small details. Better to look for actual photos via Google Search on sites like ECS. I could give countless examples of this. |

No difference for fitment. I just upgraded from the F32 nonsliding to the M alcantara sliding with fitment issues.
It may be just me, but the spring doesn't seem to respond as well to the added weight. It feels like the armrest doesn't stay upright as well. |

The spring is essentially left over from your Armrest that must be reused and tensioned correctly. And yes, it's tricky. |

I bought a sliding one for my F32 as it didn't have one. Installation was not difficult at all.

Thanks guys. Good to know. What about the alcantara hand brake (part no. 34402358363) and illuminated shift knob and alcantara gaiter (part no. 25112413885)? Has anyone installed all 3? Has anyone done wiring modifications for the illumination gear shift knob?

I don't know about the shift knob but it will fit as well as the e brake. I don't know about the illumination part.

PNP amigo as above indicated repeatedly to your numerous repetitions of the same question. at some point you’ve got to either shit or get off the pot, so go spend the 15 minutes swapping them out. Yes. 15 minutes. That’s all it takes to swap them out even the first time.
