Just in case any of you were curious like me as to the differences between the Integrated Navigation Retofit and the factory installed Navigation, here is the email response I got from BMW USA:

In addition to not having a hard drive for music storage and screen size, this system will also not be equipped with the following features:

- Address Book for Contacts
- Google Local Search Capability
- BMW Remote Services
- BMW Online
- ConnectedDrive Services

The system will include the following features:

- Destination Input
- Real Time Traffic Information (RTTI)
- Last Destinations list
- GPS location

I really like the retrofit solution because it is really good integrated and it looks great.
I got the parts very cheap and did the installation by myself. Additionally I sold the old standard controller resulting in overall costs of 430€. To sum it up, a great bang for the buck!

Hi Radair, can you share the link where you got the nav so cheap pls? I am also planning to retrofit navi in my 2015 320D.
Where to sell present screen and how to get new 8.8" screen for less?
Awaiting your reply. Thanks in advance...

I got mine of eBay and some from here...

http://stores.revolutionparts.com/ge...toparts.com/uk

Does the bigger Business Nav 8.8" screen actually work?

Just waiting for someone on here to divulge coding needed before I get going with this.

Hi plikmuny

I bought it on kleinanzeigen.ebay.de
The navi unit was brand new and sealed. Probably the seller figured out that is more needed than the navi unit.
All other parts have been bought at the BMW dealer.

Thanks for replying, but how long you waited for the part to be available there for purchase with confidence ?
i mean on kleinanzeige no guarantee and no return... even then you decided to buy from there without verifying ?

how did you proceed? can you pls explain in detail ?

Thanks in advance. also for how much did you sell your old Display with HU_Entry ? 400 Euro seems pretty acceptable for a retrofit.

I am waiting...

plikmuny : on ebay you don't have confidence that the bought navi unit is really working, but mine was originally sealed.
Additionally I bought it via PayPal Business where you have an insurance.

drguru : You must FA code the Ho-Word "NAVI" (search for HIFI coding in this Forum, then you will find a great explaination from shawn how to FA code)

the other possibility is just simply to code Mute and ZBE_Low parameters on the HU_ENTRY

All done and working apart from the coding so sound on it is dead but will get the going next weekend.

I had lots of spare cable left from all the wiring in the kit which I rolled up neat and left under the glovebox, is this the right thing to do?

Thanks.

Hello everyone,
I have followed this issue and I get questions about the activation.
I know if I buy the kit to a BMW dealer it is already prepared for my car (F22).
But if I buy on eBay as some have already done, I will need to purchase separate FSC codes? or we can activate it without codes?
Thank you for your clarification.

No codes, it'll work straight out the box but without sound until its properly coded.

So easy to install, do it in my sleep now.

Great,
I think nobody said if is it possible to apply a 8.8" screen in cars without Professional Navigation.
I read somewhere that the 8.8" screen requires higher voltage from the HU...
Thanks.

The higher voltage applies only for NBT Evo Screen.

For those who have installed this retrofit: Just out of curiosity, how does the system handle multitasking? For instance, what happens to the navigation if you receive a phone call while driving or want to change the radio station? Does the HU_Entry sytem screen have the ability to split like the CIC/NBT when the nav unit is added?

Very cool and a great price for OEM integration.

You will get the ring via the audio system and you can see who is calling in the combi cluster as usual. The screen remains at the map without any visual notification. Just press the phone button on the controller und you will switch to the phone screen where you can take or reject the call. In the backgrount the navi is still routing and you can easily switch back to it by pressing the navi button.

Greetings
Radair
