Did my first coding today, and it all went well. Much easier, and I felt more confident than the Carly solution.

I was looking at the expert parameters, and saw several starting with "SDARS", which is Satellite Radio. Do any of those do anything? (I've had Sirius activated for a couple of years now).

Is it possible to code out the alarm that goes off when temp drops below 37°? I haven't been able to find it on bimmercode. This alarms annoying as hell I always think it's something worse?

Bimmercode works great!

Just purchased the Bimmercode App for my iPhone and OBDII wifi connector to reprogram my 2017 340i GT and my wife's 2016 X3. I programed the mirrors to fold in using the comfort access, the rear hatch to close by remote, got rid of the legal disclaimers and a few other things that bothered me LOL. It worked flawlessly and I highly recommend Bimmercode...It cost me $26 for the app and $25 for the wifi adapter via Amazon...Only took a few minutes to recode each car...no hassles and worked flawlessly!

Agreed! Now that it is colder, every day!!! Always a couple blocks away from house and I keep expecting to look down and see I have a flat tire warning or something more serious than "oooh it's 37 degrees out"

I did some coding today with Bimmercode, turning off the legal disclaimer and a few other codes including starting car without brake depressed. The brake coding did not work, and now also I have to push the start button twice for the car to start.

I used a backup code to remove the disclaimer and brake function coding to reset back to factory however this did also not work.

Any suggestions on how to fix the start button?

I did the same thing worked for me. Keep in mind you now have to press the start button once, depress then press and hold for it to start.
I didn't like it and changed it back.

Ok going to try this out. Just bought the BimmerCode app. Vgate icar pro arrives tomorrow so will give it a whirl. New to coding and willing to learn but looks like the program is pretty easy.

Anyone knows how to code Sport Mode configuration?
So I can select Drivetrain and Chassis separately.
Thanks.

Also wondering if engine/transmission coding is possible with BimmerCode?

What did you do to change it back? I did the backup and the disclaimer came back but the start button is still the same.

If there is not a short cut for this ..... go into expert mode and you should be able to program this feature as if you were using Esys.

Is there a list somewhere of what things to change in expert mode to affect different things? Trying to get the seat to auto move back when I open the door and to auto unlock the doors when I turn the car off. I think they are somewhere in expert mode, but I have no idea where to find anything in there.

Look at the F30 Series Coding DIY Sticky at the top of this sub-forum. It has a lot of info about how to code and what the different parameters are inside various ECUs to code different features. It even has cheat sheets that you can download to help you quickly identify what ECU parameters are applicable to different ECUs for different features (but they may be a bit old now..).

The sticky focuses on using a laptop with a program called E-Sys to code your car, but it will teach you the basics of how to navigate the parameters that you see in Expert Mode in the BimmerCode app. There are A LOT of parameters available via Expert Mode, most of them are not applicable to the features most people want. Be careful when poking around in there and make sure you understand the parameters you are changing....

My Merc's seat used to go back automatically once I removed the key & back to my memory position when key was inserted again. I do miss this feature, is it possible to code such thing on the BMW?

Yes, It's called Easy Access. Seat moves back on door opening, and moves to driving position on ignition.
3 lines to code in the very last/bottom ECU (iOS app).
My settings:
3000 EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE set to:Modus_FA_SLV
3012 EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS werte = 00, 3C
3012 EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS werte = 00, 32

So you have to wait for the seat to go back before entering or does it go back when exiting the car?

It goes back when you turn off the car, prior to exiting.

I think I used the Carly app for that so not sure how well it works on BimmerCode.

The seat goes back after you've switched off ignition and on opening the door. Seat stays in that back position when you get back in, until ignition when it moves forward to your set driving position.

Ive seen these settings elsewhere but the 3C & 32 were the other way round!

3000 EINAUSSTIEGSHILFE set to:Modus_FA_SLV
3012 EAH_VERFAHRWEG_SLV_PHYS werte = 00, 3C
3012 EAH_SCHUTZFREIRAUM_HINTEN_SLV_PHYS werte = 00, 32

These are the settings that work for me. That's why I wrote "My settings". The previous settings I had went too far back.

Ye I understand what you meant but does the reading 00, 32 mean distance to travel back? on the other settings I found 00, 32 was 00,3C
