12v Center console Retrofit

Got my 2015 330D at the weekend and when i was in the middle of filling it with all my crap i took out of the old one i noticed i do not have a 12V supply in the rear of the Center console which my kids use to plug in their DVD players and charge the phones.

Anyone done a retrofit for this ?

Do you not have one below the vents on the back of the center console?

Ta, exactly what i was looking for. but i may use these instead of the single socket. We have a DVD player that runs off the 12V and of course the kids want to charge their phones and this should accommodate both. Just need to get rid of the plastic housing.

That would work. You could just cut the housing rear cover that came with the car. Mine is just taking up space anyway and swap out for the factory socket when ready to sell the car. My kids are a little older and done with DVD players, so I didn't need more. Also, I liked the factory look and have something similar to this floating around if I ever do need it.

Had one of them once.
Kids managed to break it.

Although i am with you on the factory look i might try and find a splitter with tails.

Based on the conversion metallicpea did i did my own take on it.

Instead of the BMW part and the pre drilled panel i did a bit of DIY on my one.

Total cost £7.69, i had wire and connectors already.

Took me about an hour to fit, most of that was lifting the trim to get the wires through.
