I was in the same boat as you, it was between getting my own place (and no longer having a roomy) or getting a new car and I opted to get a new car lol. Just got a just-about-new CPO 2018 430i with about 4k miles on it about a month ago and love it and it's my first Bimmer. I'm 37 years old and not getting any younger and would like to enjoy a decent car before I get too old lol (you're never too old to have a nice car but you know what I mean). These cars are fun to drive!
Congrats on the new car!

Thanks!

I have the smaller I-drive ceramic controller for sale on here

I bought my current on from a member on her for 200 and install was easy. Had to do a little rewire to make it work.

Installing front/rear R1 concept slotted/drilled rotors, pads and braided brake lines tomorrow.

Thanks and I had this place do it for me.

https://cobywheel.com/alcantara-prod...-products.html

It took weeks to get it done and I have one more week before it shows up. But I am very happy with how it turned out.

It’s heated as well

I almost did the same. I even called the guy up at one point, but ultimately decided to get the factory wheel when I found a good price. I may use them to redo my wheel when the time comes.

Very nice!

I am in no way affiliated with this company, it's just one I found when looking for things for the interior of my F32 but check out this German company. They have some cool stuff in Alcantara like the middle cup holder trim and a full dash. They're not cheap but you're paying for quality by the looks of it. The dash is 1 kg over their shipping limit but I'm sure they'd work with you. The dash is freaking gorgeous. I wonder if the rest of the middle dash could be wrapped yourself if it's easy enough or if maybe the company would do a custom job. A full middle dash in Alcantara would be super sexy lol.

Link:

https://shop.ecd-performance.de/en/b...245hp/interior

If the link gets filtered by the forum, it's a company named ECD Performance (.de website).

I plan on doing the same when I finish my exterior and start on the interior. Love seeing the progress of your car.

really good looking wrap...I am curious, can heat still be felt thru the new wrap? Also, might you post pics of the back of your wheel...want to see quality of Coby's work on back and in sections where wrap has to be seated/inserted in to trim. Thanks

It does affect the heat a little but still heats up enough to warm my hands.

I will try and get a pic of the back up today. There was a spot on the back that was messed up from a old wrap someone did to the wheel. They did try and smooth it out.

The feel of the wheel is great.

Back of the wheel isn’t done that well

Hi obert,

Your passion for your BMW is very deep.
I just read your build, start to current posting.
Very nice improvements have been made using your skill sets for things mechanical.
Yes, a lot of time and money has been put into your car. But, as you say, it is a long term keeper. These improvements and upgrades will be enjoyed every time you drive.
I will enjoy reading as the saga continues.

Thanks for the kind words.

I have a few more things sitting around I need to install and since I am buying a home next year my car spending has been put on hold. Well kind of lol

More to come for sure and I will have a place to work on it next year when ever I want.

Yeah I know some people do it around 60k miles but I was late so I will do mine every 70k

New transmission fluid smells bad. I have done a lot of transmission services with the red stuff and it smells but not like BMW stuff.

Next will be diff fluid and at some point I will buy a new water pump to have on hand.
