Adblue
My 335d has been great over the last 3 years, but I might be tempted by a new 340d. What additional cost is there with adblue. As I only do 10k per year maybe petrol is a better option. M340 might be a better option.

I have just done 18k mikes in 3.0 Audi and only just needed to put adblue in. It's cheap enough sub £20 for 10lt so if the bmw is the same it should be negligible

at the opposite end of the scale , my work vehicle is a 3litre 4cyl iveco daily van .
I've covered 34,000 miles from new in just under 3 years , it averages 14 mpg and I must have used 350 - 400 litres of adblu . a friend who runs a 17 plate ( as mine is ) transit and uses considerably less fuel and adblu . the adblu consumption seems prorata with fuel consumption despite being a separate entity . adblu is injected into the exhaust dream post cat , not as some people think an additive !!. just my 2 pence worth !!? |

Portering at the hospital occasionally have one in 'crew van' format for major work on the outlying hospital sites, I can quite certainly say that it averages 40+mpg, having personally driven it (with passengers and cargo) for a few thousand miles myself |
