BMW 335d F31 2015 M Sport Touring

For sale is my beloved 2015 BMW 335d M Sport Touring xDrive.

Pics here - https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqCXModEeykLgpZK...ZNptw?e=fxhist

This car has been very well looked after and is in excellent condition. I believe this is one of the best examples you will find of a used F31 335d on the market. I am very OCD about my cars.

The car is very well specced, it was specced by me when it was originally leased and in my opinion has the essential options you would want on this model.

I often get comments on how stunning the car looks for a 2015 car. No expense has been spared including getting two of the alloys completely redone after some minor kerbing!

It always gets millers diesel additive at every fill up (mostly v power) and is never driven hard until fully warmed up. Regular motorway journeys mean I’ve never had DPF issues. Drives and smells like new.

Details:
-Estoril Blue BMW 3 series 335d 2015 (F31) M Sport (LCI) Touring xDrive
-47,000 miles (will increase as the car is being used).
-2015 plate (registered October 2015)
-Reg YC65 WFD
-2 owners (I leased the car from new and subsequently purchased it so Leaseplan and then myself)
-Full BMW Service History - carried out at the specified intervals
-Front pads recently changed by myself
-Two new front tyres have just been fitted (Bridgestone Potenza).
-2 keys, locking wheel nut, manuals etc (has all the original accessories in the boot so first aid kit etc.)
-HPI clear (feel free to check)
-MOT until October 2020

Specs:
-M Sport Brakes
-18” ferric grey alloys (deliberately picked over the 19’s as they offer a much better ride)
-Adaptive Suspension
-Full LED lights
-Memory seats
-Black leather seats (heated) - excellent condition, some marking on one of the passenger seats from a baby car seat but some leather polish should sort it.
-Professional Media/Nav
Additional genuine M Performance parts as follows:

-Carbon gear surround, alcantara/carbon handbrake cover/gaiter.
-Custom alcantara trimmed steering wheel (done professionally by Royal Steering Wheels - google them).
-Rear diffuser (not genuine m performance)
-Black kidney grilles

Note - it also has a tuning box fitted (DTUK) and this performs very well. Car should be running around 350hp now - I can remove this for you if you don’t want it.

Few bits coded with bimmercode -

-M style sport gauges
-M performance logo in dash on ignition start
-Active Sound Design updated to S63B44

One tiny dent on offside rear near passenger door (it’s minuscule and can hardly be seen). Will come out with PDR - glue pulling. So small it's hard to see hence why i've not got it repaired yet.
Will need two new rear tyres soon.

From a no smoking home.

Please DM me for my contact details if interested.

Car is located in Nottingham.

Looking for £17,995 o.n.o

Car looks in great condition and seems a good price.

Unusual for a car with YC as the registration number to not be an ex BMW car ie with 1 previous owner ?

You make a good point actually and something I hadn’t thought about. I leased the car from new and then purchased it from the lease company at the end of the lease. So technically it would be down as 2 owners, them and then me (even though it was only ever me who’s driven it).

Better update the listing!

Hoping I get some interest soon!

What do folk think is a fair price here? I keep being offered 16k via eBay but I feel it's just too low.

Haven't had much interest to be honest.

Am I now hitting a roadblock because most people don't want to buy cars via private sale for 16k plus?

IMO there are a few chancers out there who just try it on to see what they can get!

As an example, a bloke phoned about mine on Saturday, we provisionally agreed a price and as of Saturday evening the arrangement was he was coming across on Sunday morning to collect assuming everything was as I'd described. However, when I woke on Sunday there was a text to say he'd decided to go to and look at other cars at auction on Monday but would get back to me if he didn't get sorted. I agreed another sale on Sunday - with the car collected and paid for today - but then I get a text from the original bloke saying he'd missed the cars he was after at auction but, based on the prices he'd seen, he'd offer me £1,500 less than we'd agreed two days ago; needless to say I took great pleasure in telling him my car had gone and for a price very close to what he'd agreed originally!

I suspect characters like that are all over places like eBay so I'd say don't be too discouraged by it. However, if you're after a quick sale, based on my experience I'd benchmark your car against similar vehicles on AutoTrader and pitch it towards the bottom end of that range. I hadn't had a huge amount of serious interest from either on here or Pistonheads but using the above approach I got lots of calls when I put it on Autotrader (I actually took a deposit on the first day it was advertised and in the end probably could have sold it two or three times over).

I think you'd probably move yours fairly quickly for around £1k more than the eBay offers but much more than that I think you might have to be prepared to bide your time a bit (and that may not be practical if you need to take delivery of your new one sooner rather than later). Have you got a part-ex valuation to fall-back on?

Oh dear but I bet you enjoyed telling him you'd sold the car in the meantime.

Thanks for the advice, I've updated all the adverts to £17,495 now in the hopes that someone will offer around the £17k mark.

As you say though I may need to decrease this, one of the people who've offered me 16k can collect Friday and is willing to go ahead.

BMW valuation was 15.5k and WBAC was £16,690 but that was the online valuation (I suspect they'll try and go sub 16 anyway). So 16k from this private buyer might be my best bet!

I think as you say, I could wait but I do want to shift it so I might have to settle for 16, still want to see if could try and get 17 if I can

If you don't get any interest at around £17k it might be worth going to WBAC to see how close they get to their online valuation. They do have a reputation for offering less when they actually see the car but you might be pleasantly surprised (and even if they want to knock £500 off that's still better than your offer of £16k!).

Good luck with it all!

Cheers - re-did a WBAC valuation as the car has done almost 1k more miles since the valuation and also, I had put the wrong amount of previous owners.

Now showing £15,850

So my private buyer who is still keen is still lined up for £16k. Had a few more ebay offers of 16 again today, have reduced to 17k on eBay now. Told one I would only go to £16,900 lowest which I still think is a massive bargain!

I had a valuation of £9399 3 weeks ago on my 64 plate F11 from WBAC, this week it is at £8660.

Remember, March sees the dealers with a massive influx of used cars from the new registrations. Worst time of year to get trade in offers.
The offer will probably stay around that now, drop a smidge over the next 6 months, then tank again as we hit September. Always does.

Yeah WBAC did say that to me over the phone actually. Beginning to think I should phone the bloke who's offered me £16k and do the deal!

I sold my 335D to Evans halshaw last year. They didn’t knock a penny off, very reasonable with fair wear and tear and odd kerbing/scuffs.

Yeah, it was a bit of a pain to be honest. Turned out it was a trade sale even though the guy lied and pretended to be a private buyer.

In a sense I didn't care as I needed to shift the car and I think realistically I was over the price bracket of what private buyers were prepared to pay.

It's more the principal, why not tell the truth!?

Anyways, they've listed it for sale on their site now - http://signaturecarspecialists.co.uk...inum-warranty/

They've put it up for £19,995. They've clearly done a good job with the paintwork but the rest is a bit bizarre, they've added exterior 'm performance' parts which I did not have (I doubt these are genuine either as think about how much that would cost!). The listing even says it has an interior Xdrive badge - eh?!

Be interesting to see if it sells...
