Coding OFF M-Adaptive Suspension

Has anyone done it? Read that F80s has done it via VO code - to delete 2VF and VO Coding DSC, FEMBODY, HU, KOMBI... though I'm not sure why need to code HU & KOMBI since they are just display - car without 2VF have the same thing?

Thoughts?

Swap out my adaptive shock for after-market shock, lo & behold error pop out on dash

Steps I took to resolve:
Remove 2VF
FA code - ICM, DSC, HU_CIC, KOMBI
Issue: Lost ability to 'configure' sports mode, used to have chasis, engine or both - now only ECO PRO mode is configurable

Next trial - add in VO "704" for M-suspension, i reckon the basic m-adaptive already come with the up-rated anti-roll bar and shock, which should not cause any harm and will code the same ECU

Found the VDC control unit in the battery compartment - did not show any error with VDC still plugged in, so will just leave it as is.

Quick question - when you coded out the M adaptive suspension did the sport steering disappear?? Just ordered B14 PSS and dont want to lose the sport steering. From what I understand, sport+ disappears. Does this mean no more launch control as well??

@kon

Did you get it coded by someone?

I'm exactly in the same boat as you, but I don't have access to coding tools but I do have the codding cable, would you be willing to code it for me? I'm willing to pay for the job

I DIY the coding myself

but now that I got hold of ISTA+, will experiment see if it's possible to code it away directly from ISTA+ rather than VO + ecu by ecu code - technically the same, but i like the lesser manual tinkering approach

i added back the coding for the sports setting - so no, the sports steering didn't go away... at least from dash, everything is normal.

but the car did register EDC fault code, just no engine check light appearing

EDC detected "open circuits" on all 4 ends
