That location I'd be looking at the oil filter housing gasket.

I agree with your part # = valve cover gasket. A leaking oil filter housing would not get oil all the way to back of engine as you’ve pictured.

You'd be surprised at the odd locations oil will pool from the oil filter housing gasket.

Also, the valve cover gasket is at its highest point near the intake manifold, and can be seen quite easily on that side (refer first pic above) unlikely to be leaking there. they generally fail on the turbo side and oil leaks onto the down pipe.

Either way, if neither gasket has been done and you are leaking, I'd recommend getting them all done. They're a common problem. Valve cover gasket, oil filter housing gasket and oil cooler gasket.

F32 N55 engine oil leak

2015 with less than 20k miles?? Wow!

Any kind of oil leak at that mileage is surprising, but it IS a BMW.

Check down the front of the engine block as well. OFH and oil cooler gasket leaks tend to drip oil in that area, onto and near the serpentine belt.

Is the car still under warranty? If so, just take it to the dealer and have them take a look.

This.

OFHG leaks generally travel down onto the belt and alternator. I'm having difficulty see how oil could travel over/under the intake runners.

F32 435i N55 2015 oil leak @55600mi

Hello guys, I am new here

my BMW 435i 2015 coupe, 55600mi has some oil seeping detected by a BMW indy shop in Mountain View during an oil change. I went to the same shop in July @ 50000mi for the rear brakes service and serpentine belt replacement and they didn't find any fluid leak. They said it could be from previous Valve cover gasket replacement at the dealer, before their work @ 48000mi and they didn't notice . They suggested to monitor and address the issue at the next oil change in case the leak is bigger. Any idea what this leak could be?
