I don't have paddle shifters, but I was under the impression that I had a Sport trans, I have the "S" gear option...

I was too... I have Mbrakes but no paddle shifters but have the "S" option/ Sport+ mode etc but no launch control... go figure (gonna add paddles... but very glad it has Mbrakes

)... but when I was coding it the option wasn't enabled.... so I enabled it... did seem to shift faster... so I figure yes had a more aggressive shift than standard but not as aggressive as the sport shift... I enabled it on a friends 535i luxury and he noticed a big difference... So try it out... not gonna hurt anything...

Sorry for your damage... I already posted this today in another thread but had to post it here again...

I still have my front spoiler in the box in the living room for the past year... the wife just said the other day why don't I put it on the car... I said because you proved to me that I shouldn't.... Lol....

well tbh it was going to happen sooner or later right, but the fact that I just got the lip for ~600 usd and hit it like a week after breaks my heart a bit

Ouch.. sorry to see this. This is what is keeping me from buying a high buck carbon lip. Love the looks, but living in NE with all the crappy roads etc. worries me. How did the damage occur?

Ouch.. sorry to see this. This is what is keeping me from buying a high buck carbon lip. Love the looks, but living in NE with all the crappy roads etc. worries me. How did the damage occur?

hahaha just install it and get over it, if you can drive carefully you should be fine! mine happened when I was in a roundabout and suddenly there was a downward slope that was apparently too deep on the right and I misjudged it. the road was gravel so alot of rocks hit right side of the lip, alot of scratches.

but ohwell, doesnt show from above and should be fine for couple years, I can easily replace it but if it were my bumper, a repaint will cost more than the lip 😅. I think of it as the protection for my bumper

I hear ya... might just install a low buck "expendable" carbon ebay lip. If it gets destroyed no great loss and also easy on my OCD!

The shifts become more crisp. Prior to enabling it, the shifts were slow and almost rev matched to eliminate any jerking. Now it shifts fast and from I've read there are no long term negative side effects.

I plan on applying an update to iDrive using a usb today.

looks like the front lip was doing its job... between this car and my last car, i've gone through 4 front lips lol.. I buy the unpainted plastic and have it professionally painted and its still loads cheaper than carbon. also, IND just started selling underlip adhesive protection, so you should look into that.

Coded this in last night and all I can say is Holy Crap! The shifting is almost like a DCT now. HUGE difference. Thanks!

- Vacuumed interior and replaced normal floor mats for the rubber ones
- Swapped summer to winter wheels
- Continue clear bra'ing the car and did the mirrors

- Need to hit the fenders with a Rupes buffer and polish before applying the clear bra

Not sure about Android, I have IOS. It's under the "Transmission Control Unit."

As a side note, I tried to activate LC and it says mine is active but it doesn't work

Its been a simple toggle "on" or "off" switch for several months now; it was still able to be enabled previously via expert mode, however. It just involved modifying more areas

Does doing this make paddles work? I did the coding but do not have paddles. If I add the paddles will they work?

I finally got around to DIY changing my OEM front brake pads to Akebono ones. I cannot believe how little brake dust the Akebono's produce. Another plus is that they are more linear and consistent than the OEM pads. Even though I dont need to yet, I am going to change my rear ones too. Highly recommended!
