Looks good! How did you attach it in the middle, the two tiny holes? I used two self-tapping screws but it popped out after a few days, someone suggested plastic rivets that expand inside.

Ouch. This is why you stick to OEM. Forged > replicas

What OEM wheels are forged? I don't think BMW offers any unless I am mistaken.

Typically OEM M2/M3/M4 wheels are forged and some of the upgraded wheel options as well.

From a quick search:
The 20" 405M wheels are forged and weigh 24 lbs
The 19" 437M wheels are forged and per BMW weigh 21.9 / 22.7 lbs
The 18" 513M wheels are forged and per BMW weigh 19.1 / 21.4 lbs

There are others I am missing as well.

Often times you can get a used set of 437M's for not much more than a new set of replicas. Not worth it with reps unless your roads are excellent. OEM has a deeper concave and slightly different chrome finish anyway. No brainer IMO.

Agreed, I was thinking (but not saying) that you can't get much if anything for an F3x since that's the forum we're in. From my experience OEM wheels for 3/4 series unless you spend a lot on the big upgrades are pretty shitty quality - so yeah not forged but you're better off spending on Apex, Vorsteiner FF, etc. versus OEM not so great stuff.

Keep in mind I have an X drive sedan with adaptive dampers, so the ride before was soft but controlled with none of the floatyness others experience without the adaptive dampers.

So now the ride is noticibly stiffer by about 30-35% (20% for coupe, 10% m sport) in such a way that you feel way less body roll. Now I can take the same corners at higher speeds with less drama. I have it paired with 19's right now. 235F 275R and the grip is amazing. So far the adaptive dampers have paired well with the drop. It doesn't feel under damped but I can't speak to their longevity now as its only been a week.

Took a longer drive yesterday on the freeway, experienced it over different conditions, broken pavement, expansion joints, etc and the only downside seems to be a bit more road noise and more scapes on the front lip. I can't drive it like I did before in underground garage, steep driveways, and in construction zones. Plus side of that is the valet didn't want to take a chance and parked at the front entrance instead of the parkade!

Eibach is a reputable brand and this model spring gave me the look I was after without much compromise to daily usability.

Overall I'm very happy with them!

Do you need to pull the bumper to install the diffuser? I know on the 2 you don't but haven't investigated 3.

Good time to do stealth hitch as well if you've got the rear apart.

No you don't have to. I installed mine with the bumper on the car.

Good to know, thanks. I'd love to figure out a way to install a hitch without pulling the bumper, just can't decide which car I'd prefer to put it on. Leaning towards F23 at the moment, think pulling that bumper is a little easier than F31.

I have installed two M Performance diffusers on my F30 so far. One was carbon fiber (non OEM) installed this weekend (love it), fitment 90%. And the other Genuine OEM M Performance (fitment 100%). Not needed for either. I think it is recommended but not required.
However you will usually need to remove the bumper for the other aftermarket diffuser styles that are not M Performance.

You got it. Oh yea most definitely for the hitch. Previous owner included one with the car when I bought it but sold it since I had no need for it. Forgot what brand it was... I think Curt

Did side skirt extensions, but not sure I finally like 'em. Looks good in pics, but dunno... changed the stance of car maybe too much.

Curt is the most common (I believe) as it's around $200. For double that you can get stealth hitch. Upside when it's not in use it's invisible, downside is $ and when it is in use I think the hitch itself is a few inches closer to the ground.

Agreed, I installed mine on the F31 with the bumper in place.

It's OEM from Mr Keller at Sun
