F30 N20/N26 VCG job, DIY possible?!?

F30 VCG is much harder than E46/E39 one!!!

Has anyone try DIY on this crazy job?

Damn, pretty involving but definitely do-able. I have a new OEM kit in the house ready for the when gasket leaks.

It is interesting that the new type of VCG does not require any glue and such(the E39/E46 VCG needs glue), or the video just skip off that step or not?

The E46 (done the job many times) required RTV on the half moon edges because of the curves there. The N20 gasket from what I see is just flat with no dips so it doesn't need the RTV

That is good to know.

How many shop labors will N20 VCG take? 4 hours?

Tried to look it up but couldn't find it. I would say 4hrs is tops. The job is do-able. Try to DIY if you can, you will save a lot.
