I have a '16 F30 with NBT EVO that was built in November 2015. Want the CarPlay functionality but don't want to lose the online/ConnectedDrive features.

Yes but there is no official channel to "upgrade" the TCU from TCB to ATM through BMW.

SOS will still work via the loud speaker under the steering column. Remote Services will still work for door unlocking etc but send to car will be gone.

Around May/June.

There will be a wait list coming soon and we should have our first unit ready for sale by May. We still need to test this on a vehicle that has Harman Kardon.

It is wireless, but you are limited by supported apps. Additionally, certain functions are speedlocked. Therefore, your options are hardware to fool GPS or alternative mirroring solution.

I am fed up with this brand which completely abandons their customers once they have bought a car. In current times where there is a so fast digital evolution it is a must keeping your car updated to a reasonable status.

Just an update guys, we have still not had a chance to test this on a vehicle equipped with Harman Kardon.

If anyone wants to volunteer and be a tester, you can be one of the first to have this retrofit at a nice discount. Preferably, we would need someone who is handy and comfortable with taking apart their dash trim and someone who is technical who can provide us with feedback on this forum and also on this thread.

We have one additional test unit available at this time if anyone is interested.

Just found out that you can actually keep the 4G Automatic Map Updates. We were wrong that you cannot retain this so this retrofit is no different from factory indeed.
