Bc Racing Coilovers

Has anyone had issues with camber after any coilovers install? I was looking at the BC setup and wondering what's everyone's thoughts.

Anytime you raise or lower a vehicle, it's always recommended to have an alignment performed to correct any camber/toe issues. For a minimal drop, you might be able to get away with out one. However, what's cheaper in the long run: $100/alignment or a set of new tires due to mis-alignment?

With respect to the BC coils, I have heard good things about this manufacture as they not only make the setup for BMWs, but for many different vehicle brands. Personally, I would look into a set of coils which have a progressively rated spring, such as ones from Bilstein or H&R. Coils with progressive springs ride excellent when DD-ing, but stiffen up when you're driving spiritedly or at the track. Linear springs such as BC's have the same spring rate throughout the entire shock travel. This means they'll ride equally firm on the street, as they would on the track. It's just something for you to consider.

Which one do you recommend for f30 between BC Coilovers or B8+H&R sport?

If I were DD-ing my F30 with occasional spirited drives, I would go with either the Bilstein B10/B12 Pro Kit or H&R sport coils. As nice as BC's are, I just find them to be too stiff for DD use.

Did you make sure to properly torque down the shock tophat nut? In many cases, people forget to torque these down. When your shock compresses/decompresses (IE, slowing going over a speed bump), it leaves "room" for the tophat to move around. This may be the case so double check.

Front tophaps should be torqued down to 47lbs while the rears are 28lbs.

Yes alignment is needed but on F30 you can't adjust camber or caster, only toe.
